I’ve never read the novel so how different is the original movie? Was Ende’s hate warranted? 

I’m not sure any other film really captured the feel of a pure 80s fantasy romp like this one did. I’d like them to use as many practical effects as possible, but that’s probably not going to happen.

Residuals are going away, fast. 30 years ago when Jennifer Anniston & Co. made Friends, they had deals for the kind of residuals that set you up for life, and beyond. NOBODY gets those deals nowadays, especially on streamers.

I understand where Proyas is coming from, but if anybody is going to play gatekeeper it should be James O'Barr.
