The door would have been cut by the body shop who was assessing the car before it was totaled.

I’m pretty sure they cut the door either to work the latch, or to check to see if any damage was done to the impact bar. If the impact bar was straight, all they would need is a new door skin.

I test drove one a few months back hoping it would feel similar to my TDI, and ended up leaving very disappointed. I felt that the power delivery was really mediocre. I’m a big diesel fan, but i think I would have to go with the gas turbo over the diesel on a CX5.

You make a valid point.. My license plate would agree.

To be fair, they are still selling the JSW TDI’s as cpo. My 2011 is currently financed through VW credit.

That yellow was only offered on the bugeye so that makes it an 02/03 WRX.

I absolutely love my 2011 JSW TDI that I bought CPO for $10,500 last year and couldn’t have asked for a better car! It was the perfect car for a 12 day 6k mile trip across the US and down into Mexico. It’s been pretty reliable (AC broke, one bad sway bar, and a new head unit all fixed under warranty) Considering the 2 Read more

Two cars that would easily last 20 years or more.

This is the second sportwagen damage post I’ve seen today. Guess mine isn’t leaving the driveway for the rest of today. When there’s 2 there’s 3. Hope you get it fixed up soon!

Yup! Glad you’ve got one. Was a pain in the ass doing brakes on an XC60 the other week. Did the Rears first and by the time we Got to the front and realized we needed the bit every store was closed.

Just a heads up, for the front brakes, you’re gonna need a 9mm Hex Bolt. Only store where I could find one was Autozone.

First or second gen CRV? Decent fuel economy, easy to get parts for, damn near bulletproof, and they don’t drive too bad either.

I’d say wagon. I absolutely adore my MK6 Jetta Sportwagen. Plenty of room for trips and for my large dog to spread out in the back!

Probably my 2011 Jetta TDI. it’s got enough space for my dog and I, and can eat up the highway miles without consuming much gas. It also does surprisingly well off road for a low FWD wagon. I accidentally took it down an ATV Trail in Colorado last summer and made it all the way through.

Reminds me of the sentra I snagged last year for $225 on copart. Put about $200 into it and managed to get $2k from some very sketchy individuals. Best of luck fixing up the focus!

I hate to break it to you, but the Tacoma probably won’t work for you. Those things are not designed with tall people in mind. I was hopeful that the new 2020 with a power drivers seat would work, but it still wasn’t good enough.

I’ve been driving XC90’s. It’s looking like a solid contender for my next new car. The dynamic mode really changes things up!
