And yet, despite the insanity of it all, his fans strengthen, and are emboldened by the very things that make him such a vile example of a ‘human being’.

Let’s be real though. Trump’s rise is in large part because the people who voted for him don’t really give a shit about those norms and traditions. That’s in part because they’re fucking idiots and in part because the Establishment he’s positioned himself against for years had a “Oh yeah, we really care about…
I agree with most of what you say, but you seem to never give answers. Always a lot of, “this sux and is wrong.” But never really any, “Here’s what we need to do...”
Hell, I wouldn’t even care if my favorite team was in town or not. Just having the option of attending an NFL game and actively betting on said game would be enough to plan a weekend trip.
LOL. At least they got the first 2 games right!
You don’t know what the hell you’re talking about.
Check again. Your share(s) don’t give you the right to vote. Or receive dividends. Or preference for ticket buying. Or anything else. You gave the packers money for a worthless piece of paper.
Yeah, but rooming with Jim Tomsula would be kinda fun.
Counterpoint: it’s a win-win situation (for anyone who enjoys seeing the NFL getting its comeuppance.)
The notion that LA was hurting for an NFL team is a myth. Take a city with a gorgeous climate, a million things to do and crippling traffic - and then give the population 20 years to learn that life is fine (and maybe better) without the NFL.
LA struggling to fill their stadium or get TV ratings is the least surprising thing I’ve ever heard. They didn’t fill their stadiums in the 90's. Not sure why anybody thought they would now.
God, the schadenfreude will be palpable if NFL owners end up paying for a new San Diego stadium after the publicly-funded option was soundly rejected. Perhaps this will embolden municipalities everywhere.
In other words: The Los Angeles thing turned out precisely how everyone outside the NFL thought it would.
The Raiders in Las Vegas just makes to much sense for so many reasons! Perfect franchise for sin city, willing public funding, plenty of land to build facilities, a large population with no pro team and tons of tourists. The perfect weekend in Vegas will now conclude with a Sunday NFL game! Plan your trip when your…
“A long time ago I realized I’m the quarterback of our team, and maybe of this company.” - Chris Berman
The schtick had a career of it’s own. It grew in popularity, had a prime, declined, and went off a cliff about 10 years ago. Berman is like Darth Vader... more schtick than man now.
True story- I was studying broadcasting in college in the mid-90s, calling the college games and doing some sideline work and as one of the crew on a sports talk show. Berman singlehandedly made me loathe the profession so much that I quit.
I can die secure in the knowledge that I’ll never get what the appeal of Chris Berman is.
I worked in sports media for about 10 years and met Berman about 4 times. He’s the single most arrogant asshole I’ve ever met in my life and there isn’t enough barbed wire in this world to wrap around the dildo he can eff himself with. Maybe Peter King can quote that.
