Part of what it takes to have an intelligent debate is to understand what the other person thinks. I wasn’t trying to distance myself from anything, merely acknowledge my beliefs about the matter so that people who felt differently could respond with a response more refined than “because I like it.”

Yeah, I used to drive a car that would manage 0-60 in around 10 seconds in Southern California, and it was dangerously slow on some freeway on ramps. Trying to merge with 80MPH traffic when you can only manage 45MPH is not fun.
