A regular cab/short bed Ram 1500 with the Hemi makes for a pretty close succesor, especially in R/T form. You also get a multi-link rear suspension (lower/upper control arms and a panhard bar ) with a rear sway-bar. I imagine that goes a long way in ride quality and handling.
