This is unbelievably cynical. Who hurt you?

The pace of that whole sequence was VERY well edited. Really made the joke work.
Luke Skywalker is a bit of a Mary Sue.
She's more-or-less on track with Luke in ANH. His first major "flaw"/mistake is chasing after Vader in Empire.
Leia is force adept, but not to the same extent as Luke
That's actually the plot of the new Daredevil comic.
Nah, she's the Night Nurse. Can't kill the Night Nurse.
This is my personal headcannon as to what's going on: He's so enamored with Jessica that he keeps her around longer than he's kept anyone else. Thus, she builds up a tolerance / antibodies / choose-your-own-pseudo-biological-explanation.
I'm pretty sure precisely the opposite is happening. On a network show with hard time limits, those would be the first scenes to be cut. But Netflix is all about giving the showrunners final cut, so they stay in.
Yeah, but he's got too much pride to ever admit it. Which is why he's always telling people to "Shut up."
"His boys"
Part of it may be his accent. AFAIK, this and Doctor Who are Tennant's two major roles where he's used a British accent (as opposed to his native Scottish accent, or an American accent). I don't think there are any others…
"Luke and Jess" was a major plotline on Gilmore Girls.
I see it. An Ellie Kemper / Eden Sher female version of Dumb and Dumber would probably work super well.
Honestly, the phone call between Walt and Walt Jr. has stayed with me more than Andrea getting shot. Pretty devastating.
So, would Donald Glover work as stunt casting? Because I think that would work…
I feel like Donald Glover would be some amazing stunt casting for Harold Hill.
Well, the show IS called "Arrow." If it were called "Felicity," we'd be complaining about all the lens flair.
I agree with this 100% (including the criticism of FemFreq). The difference between a trope and a cliché is really important.
I disagree. I think we've consistently seen Felicity be motivated by pride, or more generously by a sense of self-respect. I think this is most clear in her professional career: She's consistently miffed at having to "appear" to be a secretary in S2, and it's why her working in a Best-Buy-lite seemed so out of place…
