Anything post season 10 is "latter-day" as far as I'm concerned.

Now six hours of "PInhead" or "Blitzkrieg Bop" I might shill out for.

This makes me sad.

I have a theory. Disney is worried that it will soon be losing its copyright to this material, since it may not be able to twist Congress's arms into extending it another 25 years. Hence this flurry of live-action stuff it will have control of for 75 years.

Wilco > White Stripes. Bring on the flak, but I'm sticking to this.

Final trailer? Is that a promise? Can I get it in writing?

To me, JCS is not the story of Jesus. It's the story of Judas, and to a lesser extent, Pilate. Like Milton's Satan, they get all the angst, dramatic internal monologues, and the most memorable scenes. It was this album that taught me to understand what a terrible position God had put Judas in.

The same can be said of Chris Partridge (of "Partridge Family" fame for all you young punks out there).

Mark Shipper told all about it in PAPERBACK WRITER.

The Kaysettes starring Butcher's Blind?

Went to a Peter Frampton concert in 1979 to see the Sex Pistols. Stuck around afterward because I was curious about the second act, but when they started playing shit like "Disco Jesus" and "Come Together", I split. A friend told me later they did some of their early stuff like "She Loves You." Should've started with

I don't know, though. It's kind of like playing a game about the Holocaust in the guise of a concentration camp guard. Sure, you experience sadness, but at what cost? I'm not saying it isn't worthwhile, but I don't think it's a game I could enjoy.

I heard about this game through Roger Ebert's blog, when the debate raged "Are videogames Art?" This was held up as an argument in favor.

It's a Rutles reference. Of course.

The Beatles' second album in Britain, WITH THE BEATLES, had two million preorders and came out on a Friday. As it happened, JFK got assassinated on the same day.

Damn, and here I thought R.E.M.'s bassist had found a new job.

I wrote a novel with this song as inspiration, also entitled Surrender. (Shameless plug: You can find it on Amazon.) One of the all-time best rockers around.

I'm almost certain it was the Blue Album, aka 1967-1970 by the Beatles, a greatest hits collection. At the time, I was upset that the Red Album was out of stock. I think I was halfway through Side Two of four when I realized just HOW great they were.

Dean Thomas was ALWAYS black. You just didn't read carefully.

That's credited to Lennon-McCartney-Harrison-Starkey. So basically a studio noodle, jammed for 6+ minutes and then cut up for the 1967 message.
