because she felt guilty. like she said "you were all out here because of me." she felt it was her fault, that glenn's death was her fault, and abraham's, and the breaking of rick, so yeah, she was insistent because she couldn't stand the feeling of anyone else dying because of her.

the review didn't, but many, MANY of these comments have,

he didn't say you aren't supposed to enjoy the SHOW, but that you aren't supposed to enjoy this particular EPISODE.

thank you, george. i haven't read the graphic novels but i had a feeling there was something like this going on. really insightful post, i appreciated it. oh and i LOVED this quote of yours: "Don't blame Kirkman or the showrunners blame society for desensitizing you to violence to the extent that you only get

his baseball bat was covered with gumballs.

I agree - they could at least take turns reviewing each season to give the other reviewers a break… poor zack sounds like his job is really taking a toll on him. take a break, zack! you deserve to review at least 1 season of something you LIKE!

:'(

it's rigged!

i would watch the shit out of about 5 more seasons of Deadwood.

they can't take a break. maggie's about to lose the baby and they have to get her to hilltop. that little life is all they can cling to now, and it's motivation to get them moving, shellshocked as they undoubtedly are.

i think his men are all terrified of him too… they aren't just like thugs cheering him on. they understand the seriousness of what is taking place.

but, you know, reading your post, i had a thought… isn't the point of this show (and the novels) about human nature? for most people, life - the daily grind - is kinda regular and often quiet or dull, and sometimes/often we don't really care what happens. like many of you have expressed you feel about this story.

i'm a gen x'er and love the subtext, but yeah, maybe we shouldn't generalize so broadly. i know millennials who love this show, still, and gen x'ers who now hate it. i DO think there's more interesting subtext than many are giving it credit for, and maybe that has to do with a bit more impatience on the part of

yes. 24 was supposed to be set in real life. lil different with zombie apocalypse.

^ this.

hope —> nope ;)

i thought that blond (redhead?) chick who had carol and maggie locked up that one episode reminded me of an antagonistic rick.

"the show that featured a man ripping the bone out of a creature and then stabbing him to death with it. That happened, of course, before a little girl was put to death because she murdered her sister."

omg LOVE chris hardwick! he seemed genuinely lower energy and sad in this talking dead. and i loved that it was raining in LA. i live in CA and it rains like 3-4 times per year. an AMAZING time for rain (though it would be even more amazing if it would rain more and end the drought please).

yeah, pretty sure a thrill is not what they were going for there.
