There are plenty of non-waterfront locations to park your house. Like your parent’s driveway.

As a mechanical engineer who sometimes teaches chemical engineers, it is absolutely amazing how little intuition about the physical world a very smart person can have.
I vaguely remember Ford putting an I6 in some Mustangs during the early years of the Fox body era. There was even a blurb in one of the auto magazines (Motor Trend?) that even had a picture of the engine being installed on the assembly line.
I recently came across a “one-of-one” Grabber Blue Mustang Boss 351 at Autorama in Detroit last month. It had a (Kevin) Marti report in full display showing that the car was equipped with the intermittent wiper feature, making it a “one-of-one”. Now, we take that feature for granted today, but it was pretty new back…
Sadly this isn’t going to change anytime soon on this continent as the US brands pivot towards building only large, resource-squanderous EVs for the wealthy, or wealthy enough to spend on a car what us mere mortals would spend on a house.
An MB V8 powered Crossfire sounds weirdly desirable.
Lexus GX left out in the cold yet again...
I’ve owned a wide array of vehicles over the years, (I’m only 33 though, so no old-man stigma here) and the 2011 Jaguar XKR (X150 generation) I picked up back in 2018 is the best vehicle I’ve ever owned. (Reliability and all) It’s probably the most slept-on car in this category. (Which is one of the reasons I bought…
Energy density in EV batteries is what prevents HD trucks from converting over. Simply put, if you pack more batteries onto an EV chassis, vehicle weight goes up requiring beefier components which reduces mileage.
This is cooler because I can drive it to the grocery store.
I Turo’d a 2019 Tacoma last month and I have never been more let down by a vehicle in my life. For a truck with such a cult following, it was absolute garbage. Genuinely, it was a 20 year old truck with minor cosmetic updates at best.
I used to do work like this. we had a guy at the docks that would call when a container ship full of TV/VCR combos would come in, he would tell me what truck and what highway it was on
Agreed. If it’s really “the car” it’s worth it.
It’s possible that it is an easy install. And even if not, there are very qualified techs at the dealership that can do a good job.
I will thank them the instant they stop trying to ban what I like.
The Jeep Fe2O3.
My kids have guilted me about gas for years. I don’t think they notice the fuel going into the car at the station, but the fuel going in to me. They worry more about my emissions than the cars as a result.
While we’re at it, can we talk about how shitty Facebook groups somehow killed the forums? I know they aren’t “dead,” but the forums I used to peruse heavily are pretty quiet nowadays.
Well, if nobody else is going to pluck the low-hanging fruit...
