I kept looking for what was wrong with it at $2K. If it were my ride I would start asking almost double that- this is a simple, classic shape, durable car. I loved these Explorers (though the money saved on the basic V6 flew out the window via shitty mileage vs the SOHC V6- my family had one of each).

No, for a $2k you do your own PPI. If you can’t personally tell if it’s a good vehicle, you shouldn’t be buying $2k cars.

these things will for sure nickel and dime ya - but if you can wrench yourself, they’re cheap and easy and far better choice than any Jeep of the same price or vintage.

Swap in a 302 and rumble young man rumble?

Or a Windsor swap candidate. Nice Price.

By far and away, my favorite part of working at a dealership, was when minty older normal cars rolled in.

I guess I’m getting old. I was 23 when this thing came out and as the owner of a modded Fox 5.0 at the time, I was smitten over these things. They were sooo fast at the time, even in stock form. Rated at 390 HP but dynoing around 360-370, so underrated from the start. A tune, CAI, cat back and pulley would get you

I have quite a bit of experience with the AJ V8 at this point, especially in 4.2-liter spec (both N/A and supercharged). I have the former in a 2004 Jaguar XJ Vanden Plas, and the latter in a 2006 Range Rover Supercharged. It is far more stout than any of the German stuff from the same era. So that’s not an issue.

Now an XJR - thats a car I will go broke for. I love a VandenPlas edition in the dark red... OMG tray Tables!

Do those boards work in snow too? Or are they just for various soils?

Many people like their cars to reflect themselves.

Pffttt, big deal when a two wheel drive Crown Vic can do lots of Moab

I’ve had both, the 2.3L/auto and a 3.0L/5-spd. The Vulcan V6 really did wake that car up. It should have been installed at the 88 refresh, not all the way in 92. I loved my 92 GLS, wish I had never sold it.

I used to work as a loader at Lowe’s and would drive a forklift all day. The shift lever is on the left side of the column and you just flick it to switch directions. After an 8-hour shift driving it, I would get in my truck, start it up, and immediately hit my right turn signal and try to drive away. Got me every

I don’t get offended - I get it.  It just wastes my time because I’ve done the price/market comparison before I list it for sale.  Ideally, if someone offered close to what I list for, I’d consider it, but that is never the case in my experience.

Bruce Jenner.  Let’s not get into the rewriting of history for the sake of being overly-PC.

My first ‘fun’ car was a 1991 Prelude Si with 140HP

You know what was a great deal ? For 299.00 I got the ford performance tune on my 2011 5.0 and it freed up an extra 60 lbs of torque at 1500 RPM. Apparently ford kills the torque down low to stop people from laying to much rubber and crashing into poles. It was amazing and I got to keep the tuner / code reader that I

How on earth does an intake and throttle body add 20 pounds of weight?
