There is quite literally no person on the planet I would be more proud to have praise my kid's straight As. (Or my straight As, if I were the kid.)

Clearly, Vogue got it right because they were schooled directly by Jay-Z's lyrics: Anna, the winter gets cold in Vogue with your skin out.
But the Fine Young Cannibals are right where they've always been, right?
@you've got red on you: Totally. It is delightful to see someone looking down at something and to have it turn out to be something other than a device.
@gimme_that_headband: Preach.
@Poubelle: That's all you need to know!
I just spent about 5 minutes sitting here trying to come up with a "hey girl" that's on point for this. It's a dicey one.
Do you think it will harm my future sons and/or daughters if I ogle a bike-reading Liev Schreiber on the street? Because it might be a price I'm willing to pay.
Is there any better quality in a person than being a good sport? Not in my book.
Andy Cohen looks nonplussed, but he's got on a sassy hat, so he's fine.
@dearheart: come on, be fair. I spend half my waking hours trying to be sure I don't become a crazy cat lady. But I have no defense against this picture. I'm a goner.
@newmakcity: I'll see your nosey Brooklyn squirrels and raise you an even more brazen Chicago one. About a year ago I heard a weird noise coming from my kitchen. I went and looked out and saw that my neighbor was doing yard work and figured that was the noise, so I ignored it for a few minutes, until I heard one…
@ParkPlace: I lived at the corner of Hill and Divison, pretty much right across the street from their practice field, for a year in the 90s. Wish they would have been doing something cool then. Even when it's not cool, nothing sounds like fall to me like marching band practice.
Speaking as someone who just started looking into this, I can tell you that the going rate for sperm acquired from the apparently "best" sperm bank in Chicago is $200/vial. Maybe it's a lot more expensive in England for some reason, but it sounds like the clients were getting ripped off on top of grossly lied to.
@shaken.not.stirred: Ah yes, the Studio 60 exception. I know it well. Isn't there a concept in math called the universal constant? If I were writing an Aaron-Sorkin-style tv episode about how much even Sorkin fans hate Studio 60, I would have everybody in the episode constantly talking about the universal constant,…
Aaron Sorkin had me at the line "if you were the inventors of facebook, you would have invented facebook." It just super cracks me up.
Alright, I'll say it: the combination of things going on in that outift seems ill-advised. A rare sartorial mis-step. I believe Maria Pinto is out of business — hopefully this is not what happens when Flotus is without her go-to fashion gal pal.
Those darn elitist Princeton economists with their highfalutin technical terms: "stuff is so in your face" indeed. He would normally say " all up in yo grizill, fo realz," obvs, but he was under some real editorial pressure to fancy it up for publication.
And even with all that, the thing that I'm most caught by is the phrase "electric violinist." That's a thing, I guess. A thing that a person can be identified as.
