There is nothing stopping her from having her own will, and having the stipulation that should something happen to both of them, then her sister would become guardian.   Her husband doesn’t even need to know that she had it drawn up.

I think marrying a fat-shamer is at odds with loving your fat family member!!!

I usually do and I feel like a total dork because every drive through I’ve been through has a plexiglass barrier they just reach around/ under and it’s such a brief interaction. But if I was getting 100s of even those minor contacts everyday, I would want people to wear masks.

I am under no illusions that her employer is actually a good boss; frankly the entire business sounds like a headache-inducing clusterfuck with terrible boundary issues. I wouldn’t go near anyone involved in this story with a ten foot pole if I were looking for work or potential hires.

That being said, Alina CLEARLY

As someone who once worked for an employer who ran a business out of their home, I would never do that again and would never recommend it to anyone else. It breeds a kind of familiarity that won’t work for anyone in the long run, and there’s no HR dept to keep things legal and professional. And although this may not

I’m sorry to hear about this. I thought the book was fantastic—my whole family read it, and I plowed through the entire thing in one very long holiday-break day.

yeah, i didn’t get the “white savior” complex either, her being white isn’t the only box that has to be checked for that to happen. throughout the film she was just earnest and dogged in her fight to tell the story of henrietta lacks. also, they made a point of pointing out the instances where her being white kind of

I get highly annoyed when white savior is wrongly thrown out as a critique of a story.

While I’m very sympathetic to creators, especially people who leverage digital media to start movements, share jokes, coin phrases/words, etc that contribute to the cultural richness and zeitgeist, it’s clear that trademark is not the path to legitimize or recognize the originator.

You’ve got it backward! :) You can use those three words all you want, you just can’t use them to sell the same or similar products or services as the peo ple who own the mark.

You can’t sleep with an Exotic Woke, and demand he cut his exotic woke haircut.

The law must be new. This happened in California in 2011 and despite involving my HR advocate, the ultimate conclusion was that I was responsible. The real scam of it is that you’re just so exhausted from dealing with everything related to the illness, you just give up simply to have one less thing on your plate.

This goes to show just how screwed up our health care/insurance system is in the U.S.

This. I grew up in Chicago and only moved out about six years ago after more than 40 years. Chicago on film/tv is usually portrayed one of two ways: as it is in Easy or as the center of crime, usually the only time the cameras move to a black community. There’s a great intersection that movies miss, i.e. my old

This was interesting. After my sister got into musical theater and took voice lessons she loved pointing out things about all the musicians I listened to. Her favorite example was how Sarah McLachlan made her whole career on her vocal break. Drove my sister crazy because she hates breaks and learned how to cover hers.

I love this movie. In a just world it would have gotten tons of award recognition, especially for MacLaine, but of course it was a “women’s movie” and nobody had cancer or a dead kid, so no Oscars.

That’s literally all anyone who goes to a Planned Parenthood ever does.

1. Natural fabrics.

Waiting for Guffman has some of the best lines.

I learned how to appear to have a green thumb - find the plants that work well with me, and get a lot of those. I used to have a wide variety of houseplants. I saw what did well with my routine, and what suffered. I gave the sufferers away, and now I have fabulous plants that make it look like I am the Goddess of the
