I felt like Sherlock's popularity really ruined The Imitation Game. Ben is a great actor when given the freedom to create a character from scratch (Parade's End) but the acknowledgment of his fanbase shoe horned the character into being Slightly Shyer Sherlock when the real Alan Turing was nothing like that.
