Man! without the body on there you can really see how it is just an engine with the bare minimum wrapped around it.

So this one time I had the main bearings replaced on my '79 Volvo 242 GT. Amazingly, this can be done without pulling the engine. Anyway, the job is finished and I drive the car away from the shop. I don't get far before I hear horrible tapping noises and the engine overheats.

From reading the build description, it sounds like they did a pretty thorough job of checking out the cooling issues. I'm an engineer and do thermal analysis. Smoke machines and makeshift wind tunnels may seem ridiculously low tech, but simple real world testing is often way better than sophisticated computer

That’s funny. Appropriately, there was a F&F ad before the video played.

This is a good place for my story...

I think those seats are the wrong choice (it's so easy to be a critic). Otherwise it looks great.

LOL for reals. Almost made coffee come out my nose. Good job.

That's true. But what is that picture? Some part of a boat?

When I go to buy a used truck years down the road, the dented aluminum trucks will cost quite a bit more than the rusted out steel ones.

It's a truck. Why you would repair that?

Here's some in-car footage from the same rally. Something bad happens at the end.

I'm a Volvo guy and $8k is way over the top. I'll admit that the mileage is low, but considering that those 240 wagons were made all the way up to 1993, it's not that hard to find a nice one.

Oh man, I've always loved these things. NP for me!

Those retro graphics had me grinning. Very cool.

Number 2, number 5, number 8 all proven yesterday at lunch. Judging by the look on his face, some dude probably had to change is underwear after he almost took me out making a right turn. He came around the corner too fast and was completely in my lane heading straight for me. I had enough time and was going slow

Mmmmm. Did you see that nice 144 in there? Kylie is nice, too.

Bleah

Crack Piiiiiiipe! Here's one for $300 more that starts, doesn't have a smashed headlight, and doesn't have crazy zebra stripes.

We just got 3 inches last night. I chickened out of riding my '86 Concours and got a ride in to work.

+1 for Pirsig.
