Or agree that it exists and is man-made, but just do not care, because it’s nice to have stuff that’s built in factories and nobody who’s alive today to complain about climate change is going to be alive in 100 years anyway so who cares?

No one is arguing anything other than releasing co2 that was sequestered over millions of years, in the span of hundreds via burning hydrocarbons, accelerates the frequency severity and duration of climate change.

And that is a perfect example of irony.

Fuck the people who don’t pay attention in traffic. She was doing the right thing. Sorry you’re mad bro.

I would actually expect things to go the opposite way - if they want to win on volume and be more competitive on price, they’ll probably decontent and/or cheapen the mainstream trim levels. Premium features will probably still be available but I would bet they’ll move to higher trim levels or option/option packages.

I demand a recount on cat-lady points!

Of course. But where before it was “What model VW should I get?” now it is “Should I even get a new VW?”.

Most people don’t realize you can get an sti without the giant wing on it.

VW rates their power from the wheels, while Ford rates it from the crankshaft. Dyno a stock FoST and you won’t get the 252 that Ford quotes. VW (and many other foreign automakers) like to “under-rate” their vehicles.

My Mexican built Nissan is better built and more solid at 7.5 years old than my US built Chevy was at 4 years old, and that is God’s honest truth. For that matter, my BMW at 4 years old too, but Bimmer fanboys keep telling me I must have gotten a dud, since their cars are a solid ingot of magical genius forged by

nah, I read it as America is finally getting the Polo GTI

There is no amount of “concessions” that will keep jobs in the first world, when an MNC can pay pennies-on-the-dollar for labor in some backwater.

Unions should have seats on the board of directors. This would ensure their voice is heard and give the union members a stronger sense of company ownership.

When UAW’s Canadian locals broke off to the CAW and now UNIFOR they have adopted a different attitude of cooperation if the employer is willing. All of the Canadian plants are among the top in productive and quality across North America, especially considering the lack resources provided. In 2008 on top of huge

If your subjective opinion is that the ST is “almost as nice inside” then it is. But for me, it’s not even on the same level. The GTI is "almost Audi", and the ST is not.

That and the ST isn't really much faster than the Mk7, if at all. Get a GTI with the performance pack and you get a limited slip diff that you can't

Better cargo room and back seat room, definitely. The GTI has a straight roof, not like the Focus that slopes down toward the back. I was impressed with the ST I drove, but it was an almost fully loaded press car, so of course it was rather refined. Still not as good inside as the GTI, though, I agree.

I have a MK6 Golf that’s treated me just fine for the past 7 years and 85,000 miles. Sure they can be problematic but I think for the most part I believe that VW’s reliability is overblown.

Get the GTI, you will be much happier. I looked at the Focus ST before I got mine, and the interior was night and day. Is the GTI priced higher? Not really when you look at how much you get for its price compared to others. A base GTI comes with Apple CarPlay, Backup camera, Car-Net which is like Onstar, Ambient

so, two sales then.

I’m copyrighting the term battery-gate now.
