Neutral. Price cuts saving VW? Probably not. An overall approach to cutting costs, improving product lineup and customer satisfaction might though. Oh, and 2 more things. Bring us the bloody Scirocco and some color choices that aren't Black, Blue, White, Gray, Dark Gray, Silver and Tomato Red.
I would love a Scirocco

Those German fuckers never brought the Gold R wagon over, but instead mocked us by launching it in LA 2 years ago. They deserve all they get
Auto unions continue to amuse me. “The big 3 won’t promise us future business, probably due to costs and difficulty to work with us, so let’s show them how difficult it is to work with us by striking!”
Nah, that’s pretty accurate. But Americans like mediocre cars with perceived value.... As long as VW keeps bringing the GTI/Golf R over, I don’t give a shit about their mass market product.
“is looking at this with a volume mindset,”
There is not much you can do beyond keeping a safe distance. Whatever you are driving is unlikely to be able to bring a truck of that size to a safe stop. With five injured (in unknown condition) this could have ended much worse.
“Look at him hit the medium again”!!! I had no idea there was a psychic nearby...
Why buy a V12 Aston Martin when you can buy this V10 Aston Martin for the price of a used 911?
My relatively new German car has a 10k service interval and it consistently goes through around 3-400ml/10k miles. I would wager that most cars with service intervals that long consume similar amounts of oil or less.
Also, the way I read the post (and it was hard to parse because it tried to be cute, rather than being clear) is that owners didn’t even follow the 10k interval recommendations, pushing it even further.
Did you watch the video? They said it had 9000 miles on it, had plenty of oil, and was run at “30mph” usually. Based on all the Astons I see around the Palm Beaches, “run hard” is about as far from this case as possible.
If the oil change is 10k miles and the car only had 9k I would guess that it still had the factory oil in it.
Engines run hard w/o oil changes every 10k miles have internal failure = “Design defect”
The entire Wright brothers first flight was shorter than a C-5's cargo floor. Fun fact.
don’t cost enough - ergo, not worth their price
