But does it get wiped away in a potential Walking Dead scenario? I mean sure, we aren’t likely to be debating the niceties of private school PTA’s as we wade in hordes of the undead, but it would be nice to know how to address her should that happen.

I know that schematics at this point doesn’t mean much, but i figured “serial killer specifically of CHILDREN” would be a pretty big red flag.
Now I’m curious at how crazy this school is, do they also have a convenient crematorium in case of any “accidents”?

You’re a serial killer as long as your victims remain dead. So, no, you’re never a former serial killer.

It’s heartbreaking. The GoFundMe has super exceeded its goal but they’re keeping it going so the parents can take as long as they need off of work to grieve Reese’s death. If anyone feels like contributing, here’s the link: https://www.gofundme.com/reese-bowman-our-angel

One of our local city schools now requires background checks on anyone wanting to have lunch with a kid at school. Even their parents must submit to a background check or they are not allowed to be in the cafeteria. There was so much outrage from the community which was crazy to me.

I didn’t think you were disagreeing with me and I do appreciate you explaining that often the state mandates that charges can’t appear in background checks. Sorry if I came off as hostile, I was really rattled by this story and have been unreasonably passionate when talking about it.

Wow. Ok so I spent years researching this case in school and it’s probably the most baffling example of the legal process obstructing actual justice. She was actually charged with manslaughter, not murder, because she claimed that her then-husband (a legit serial killer) coerced her mentally into being an accomplice.

I take my covfefe black.

I can see that and really, I agree with it 90% of the time. I see how hard it is for ex cons to get jobs and how it increases the rate of recidivism. Buuuuuut working with children is a privilege, not a right and if you have violence related charges, I don’t think you should be allowed to work with kids. If my kid’s

I worked for a construction company and we did some school jobs. Even though these were new schools with no kids around, we had certain employees who, due to a criminal background, could not work on them.

Yeah, how does “Formerly known as School-Girl Killer” NOT set off some red flags on a background check? If that was my kids school I’d be raising bloody hell.

Christian and Catholic schools are funny like that...serial killer moms are okay, but skirts 2 inches above the knee ARE DEFINITELY AWFUL AND YOU WILL GO TO HELL.

Well, you would be wrong. Her husband was a serial rapist and serial killer. She was, as FBI agent Roy Hazelwood documented, a “Compliant Victim of the Sexual Sadist.” In short, one of his many victims. People get outraged about what she witnessed, but quickly forget what she experienced.

I volunteer as a tutor for homeless children...with a private charity...am never allowed to be alone with them, do not enter the school, etc. but still had to be fingerprinted and pay for a background check. This is absolute bullshit.

It wasn’t. I was misremembering. Although there was talk of a pardon some time back that was obviously met with appropriate uproar. I’m not sure what the rules about manslaughter would be. Like I’d feel differently about involuntary from a car accident but you’d think her level would be prohibited.

Yea sorry. That’s what happens when you comment on cold meds.

Excuse me while I go pick up my child from daycare and never let him leave the house again...

On Criminal minds he mixed it into the food truck that fed the search party.

They did the background check and knew exactly who she was. They claim she rarely enters the school and is never allowed to be alone with children.

She wasn’t charged with anything? She just did 12 years because of covfefe?
