I posted this poem on FB post election. The last two lines really hit home for me given the dem’s seeming lack of unity and power in the last several years versus the Tea Party and redistricting successes of the Repubs. Granted the Republicans have been laying the groundwork for their domination since the late 70's.

I’ve only seen the 1959 version and while I found the story interesting I found the portrayal of the daughter by a clearly white actress off putting. I will have to check out the original.

I agree with you but I am concerned that her brand of politics- obstructionism and undermining the agency she was charged with- may have an impact on her son’s outlook. Especially any decisions related to environmental protection.

Seconded what Snarktastic said below. Also I know the speakers at the rally went way longer than anticipated and the crowds on Independence were crushing. I know a lot of people were trying to get marching to get out of that crowd. I can’t say for certain that’s what was going on in your quote but I can say it may

Not sure about the timing of the tweet but there has been the other Bannon gossip going around Twitter and the Time piece on Bannon. Could be more than just the skit he is responding to but either way it’s hilarious that this shit gets under his skin. Now though I kinda feel like a bully in perpetuating shit just to

Also the response in Boston when busing was implemented. Private school enrollment, especially of the parochial nature, went up.

This apparently happened in Charlottesville, VA too. I met an older local at a bar one night. He talked about history of the neighborhood and mentioned going to another building for school due to the schools being closed over integration. We spoke some time ago. I didn’t think this would be relevant again. I think

There was literally a large banner of Douglass down the street from Trump’s DC Hotel during the Women’s march. I have a photo. I’m not sure what the building is and how it relates but come on... Took me a minute but I figured out it is the DC Mayor’s office in Freedom Plaza.

There are a bunch of her dresses at my local TJ Maxx right now.

I think we need lightweight, dry erase boards for signs. I know there is this whiteboard sticker thing you can get for your walls. Maybe stick that to some foam board?

Tim Kaine’s face= priceless.

“...for sure I have relatives and acquaintances who voted Trump. But no amount of organizing will change their minds. It’s not just supporting Trump - they’re super religious and anti-choice and there is no changing them. They’re educated too so it’s not like they’re just ignorant. The organizing has to be directed

Edit needed: Pence had the perfect amount of fundamentalist religious zeal to give the give the current administration an air of actual convictions.

OMG her interview with Stephanopoulos was mind bending.

He’s at the top of my list and just got bumped a few points. I didn’t know he was the Benghazi guy. I was aware of him releasing the Comey letter and just recently the threat against the ethics office. FUCK THAT GUY!!!

DC

It was just like his rallies where they only showed selective angles.

This! I was like what the hell did I just watch? Also I was at the march all day with spotty service and a dying phone so I didn’t even know what that bullshit was about MLK’s bust. I doubt anyone else at the march gave a shit about it either.

Was watching the conference in a bar in Chinatown, DC after the march. Needless to say there was heckling and booing from the women there.

She should have gotten her roots touched up for today.
