part of what freaks me out about this story (and did when i was dealing with TB treatment myself) is that it’s so hard to treat active TB correctly even for a diligent person in comfortable circumstances — i had to take four medications every day for like nine months, couldn’t drink, had to go for tests all the time,

He did this song called “Starry, Starry Night” about Vincent Van Gogh. It was lame. I had to improve it.

Ah, I read it differently. If what you say was her meaning, then I whole heartedly agree with that message.

Don’t be ashamed at all! There were a ton of articles about his portrayal, some even saying he’s Marvel’s best villain. The character was fantastic.

I was effectively the scout for triggers when watching Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, reporting back to friends who have different traumatic experiences (as mine was long-term emotional abuse, which might be a bit more akin to Kimmy’s experience, I absolutely loved their subtle references to PTSD) with one of them

I couldn’t binge-watch the show because it was so intense. If I wanted to watch more than one episode at a go, I had to cut it with something sweet, like My Little Pony (I don’t care - I love cartoons!)

She was magnificent, wasn’t she? I love that we were able to see a heroine with all her flaws and complexities, without a face full of perfect makeup and a sexxxxy costume.

It took me 2 solid months to watch this show for that same reason. It’s very triggering in some ways

Brilliant news! Thought S1 was way better than Daredevil, and Krysten Ritter deserves more than just supporting roles in other people’s series. Question is, how will they top Kilgrave on the villain front?!

The show pisses off MRAs? Add 10 bonus points to what was already a pretty perfect series.

Well, from what I read about the comics (I haven't read the comics, I read ABOUT them) he does have another love interest at some point, but in the end marries Jessica, so we can kinda expect that.

This is very true. Her extreme sincerity and lack of irony repel the type of people whose absolute top concern is appearing KEWL and maintaining their ironic detachment and the popularity they perceive as depending on it.

No, of course you're not, but women also have been trained to target & tear down other women. I think Anne H & JLaw are sort of annoying, but I also realize I don't know either of these people & that there is something unique in the way that we decide to start shitting on female celebrities we decide we don't like

It’s not exactly a mystery why “they keep coming back for more” rather than doing plays in Provence. Come on now.

Celebrities become overexposed thanks to us. Then when mission is accomplished, we shit all over them for being everywhere.

I would agree with you except for the fact that people have been using this incident as an excuse to say “I didn’t like the bitch no-ways!”

It’s been stated numerous times already but he wasn’t using his phone as a translator he was taking pics and video of her while she was trying to answer his questions. He said it himself on Twitter.

Yeah, it’s inscrutable. Apparently Hathaway got kicked out of the Cool Kids Club and we missed the notice. How dare she stick up for someone?! I honestly think it has a lot more to do with this quote, where she kind of nails places like this right on the head:

I feel like it actually boils down to, "I didn't understand what rape was until I was a rapist myself."

I guess my question is what these rapists' and would-be rapists' stories tell us about how to prevent rape. I agree that it's important to have this discussion candidly, and that we should pay attention to what kinds of situations may become dangerous. But reading through these accounts, I'm left confused.
