He fails to back check Rust leaving him clean in the low slot, and then lord knows what he was doing on the Hornqvist goal. A leader doesn’t have to be loud in the locker room. I agree, but I don’t think this series is over for that reason. The Caps dominated play for the last 2 periods and it felt like only a matter of time before they put one in. MAF playing out of his mind and the shot blocking prowess of the pens were factors, sure, but if Crosby/Sheary remain out this could go 7.
