Just saw the trailer.
Betty Blue has a lot to answer for.

I had a friend whose job was to take care of 'stars' who came to Dublin to work. She also said that Dafoe was one of the nicest most charmimg guys she'd ever worked with. Couldn't say the same for Kevin Spacey though……

“…when he recognizes Pierre’s penis among the dozens of dick pics he’s receiving”

If you like the idea of this movie but don't like the mawkish tone, then go see "Bad Boy Bubby". It's an Aussie film from 1993 with the same premise but much, much more provocative results.

I agree. An underrated and highly enjoyable movie.
There was just one gaping plot hole. How in the heck would Fiennes' character have preferred the ultra-bland Juliette Lewis over the hot-as-hell Angela Bassett? Sorry, just not buyin' it.

Now that’s a breakup scene I’d love to have witnessed.
He’s so short and she’s a giraffe. I can just picture her picking him up by the armpits so that she can look at him eye-to-eye. And while his little legs dangle in the air she says in a clear, authoritative voice, “Sean, I think it’s time we saw other people”.
And

Well you know what they say about navy officers.
"The Rear Admiral's vice was the Vice Admiral's rear."
What ho!

Do not dirk gently into that good night.

"….but with a heart."

Or even Finn Sharksoup.

You wouldn't be thinking about salmorejo perchance, hem?
It's a speciality of Córdoba (great town) and pretty much sticks to tomato and bread.

Thank you gents.

Pushing this mix through a strainer with a ladle sounds like pure hell.
Almost every household in Spain has a 'pasapuré' otherwise known as a 'chino'. It's a strainer with a crank handle and a (for want of a better word) 'propeller' which forces the liquid down through the collander disk when you turn it. Trying to

A beautiful part of the country. If you don't mind the odd corpse.

Hum.
There's already a Spanish/Italian movie from 2001 called Amnesia that's set in Ibiza.
It's not very good. Just sayin'.

Are they the same ones that appeared in Aronofsky's Noah?

I mostly agree with this article and my wife has always been very proactive in getting our son to eat a healthy and broad range of food. However, rather than in restaurants, this education should begin very early and in the home. It's easier to set up an eating routine, it's cheaper and you don't have to worry about

Whenever you see an expensive European movie, there are usually 5 minutes of producers' logos popping up before the movie. And it often ends with the Weinsteins.

I always figured that it’d be fun to make a reverse-Taken for audiences on this side of the pond. Some European special forces agent goes to Alabama on vacation and gets his daughter kidnapped by redneck white supremists. You could call it:
“Done Got Took”

Could this be a guilty pleasure in the making? I do hope so.
I'm assuming there'll be a rocket-propelled grenade zipping down a corredor in slow motion at some stage of this movie. There always is with Besson.
