The car was fine. It is your commute that sucks.

Survivor bias. The ones who have been killed (and there are plenty of them) aren’t around to tell you their bad opinions.
I’m fine with the constant shifting. The knee pain on the clutch leg though...I don’t blame the car, I blame the 52 year old knee.
Not a myth as far as I’m concerned. I got rid of my MT car because my commute was such a pain, and I had been driving stick for two decades at that point. An hour and a half of shifting every 10 seconds between N, 1st, and occasionally 2nd f’in sucks, especially in something with a stiff clutch.
You can still find people who think it’s safer to drive without your seatbelt buckled because “you want to be thrown clear in an accident.”
I absolutely notice what kind of handbag women are carrying.
I live in a climate with extreme cold, snow and lately in summer, extreme heat. That doesn’t mean that it’s 24/7/365 shitty. More than half the year is great. And when you live in a place with lots of snow and cold weather, you tend to own clothes for that weather.
“Cars are the best way to ___________.”
The biggest myth is that women somehow notices what car you drive. In reality women no more notice or care about the car you drive, than you notice or care about what brand handbags she is carrying.
“Pickups are good in the snow.”
I may be personally disappointed by the fact that Mulaney and his wife got divorced because, through his comedy, I was somewhat invested in the running narrative of “John Mulaney is happily married, and he and his wife love one another.” Particularly when so much stand up comedy doesn’t use as a central conceit how…
I’m pro-spider, but I prefer they keep their distance. Stay out of my house and car, and we’re cool.
...what? Mulaney doesn’t have any kids, and he was apparently already separated from his ex-wife when he and Munn got together.
He might be a nice guy in most areas of his life, but I won’t forgive him for headlining a COVID-denier/anti-masker rally in my parent’s hometown last summer at the height of the COVID pandemic. This event was chud’s-choice of local far-right ideologues, all of which espousing the idea that COVID wasn’t something to…
Perhaps if he supported liveable wages and unionization for the people and industry he claims to care about, such charitable works wouldn’t be needed. Instead, these acts of charity also serve to shore up the system of wild exploitation.
It’s a pop culture site examining how a major celebrity manages his image and how that image has evolved. They’re not digging in. It’s a thoughtful and balanced piece.
Pretty sure he's a Whig.
“After a handful of years that have seen #MeToo unearth some Very Clearly Shitty Men, many have determined that maybe wearing sunglasses on the back of your head isn’t the worst thing in the world.”
Isn’t a big section of this site.... celebrity gossip? I’m confused by this tone.
