honestly the plot is the one thing the series doesnt lose track of.

This guy.

I was really hoping that would have said,

This is easily the most important video game series in my life. I may not have finished all of them, but I’ve tried every single title and spent years playing the MMOs. I don’t think I’d be the gamer I am today if it weren’t for Final Fantasy.

80 years later and Nazis are still stealing art...

What the hell is wrong with you?

As someone who has had commutes that ranged from 4 minutes (driving) to an hour and 45+ each way on public transit (but who now enjoys 10 minutes or less of driving)... never look down on someone for having a long commute. It means literally nothing other than that they’ve made a decision to work further away from

Everyone has their own set of problems. Yours sounds like a lack of empathy?

“if I were on a loud bus with zero room to barely stand, I could not enjoy gaming at all”

Why does it bug you that the author said it gave him his games back? Even if most people don’t have a long commute on public transit like he does it doesn’t invalidate the fact that having a switch opened up a large chunk of gaming time that wasn’t available to him before.

Also I suspect a lot of how you react to the

“For me, I am the driver.”

Lots of places where public transport is actually the faster alternative over driving.

Really?

So the dude who made a name for himself being an asshole to people in online games turns out to be an asshole in real life?

To me, it adds to the whole dynamic that the brother actually left the country and his family. He wasn’t able to live as himself in Japan, but he was in Canada, where he was able to meet a man, fall in love, and get married, which is not possible in his home country (the marriage part, anyway).

1) Canadian? Psh. America. /BaldEagleFlyingBy

Yup, a lot of gamers I know don’t like Kotaku because they focus so much on social issues (I don’t mind personally, though it does feel like every other article is about social issues I’m supposed to be mad about), but when it comes down to it, Kotaku is one of the better places for video game NEWS. I’ve always

It’s hilarious that people LOVE putting down Kotaku for being “unethical” yet the proposed replacements are fucking garbage.

Anecdote: Kotaku has been pretty much my go-to source for the last 8 years give or take. My Discord filled with guildmates and other online gaming friends have some kind of Rage-Boner for the site. Something I’m reminded of everytime I try and share an article of something cool and they freak out.

“Why is there any debate to this?”
