I don’t know what’s more painful. Those bags, or the on-screen graphics of your typical Japanese general interest TV show.

I was asking *why* they like it more, not questioning that they like it more. On the surface they look the same to me, so I was in need of more insight.

I still don’t understand the obsession people have with Melee, rather than newer entries in the series.

Rocko’s Modern Life is one of those things that strangely prepared me for adult life. When I got there, it was like “Oh, I already know this tedious stuff from a cartoon.”

I’m not interested in Xenoblade Chronicles 2, the character designs are beyond ridiculous, but that controller is wonderful.

It’s not even anonymity. People still act the same when identities are known. It’s the physical separation between the players. It’s not very often someone drops their controller, gets in their car, and tracks down someone who said terrible things to them online.

I’m not afraid to say that TAS is still the definitive Batman for me.

We take it for granted that our modern OSes can display any language out of the box, but I remember being astounded the first time I rigged Window 95 to display Japanese text in Netscape.
