I dont travel on behalf of the U.S. Government, I travel for business. All over the world. Granted, I haven’t been to any countries that are openly hostile to the U.S. but of all the places I have been, I have been nothing but welcomed. I’ve heard people be upset with some of our policies in the Middle-East (Some of

I would imagine you are spot on. I cant imagine another country training as much as we do. Also - In a real fight, i’d imagine other assets would come into play which would change the balance even more towards the U.S., including picket ships, AWACS, satellites, etc.

So, whats the harm in telling me what country you are in? Why so scared? I’m in the U.S., that wasn’t hard.

Hah, that was the first thing that jumped out at me. I think it was some dude that was told ‘Hey Bob, come up with some stuff we can stick in there..’.

Still not going to tell me where you are from? Without lying?

That might be true.. I dont know, i’d love to see them try it. I know my town would be open to it.

Not sure we are scared of stuff breaking down.. Big Military parades dont seem to be this countries thing. I can think of no equivalent to the May Day parade that the U.S. has.

Uh huh.. You know we are able to get news from all over the world, right? We are not dependent on Fox News, CNN, or MSNBC? You also know this is a country built of immigrants? Most of the people I know are 2nd generation at BEST. The beliefs and our actions are based on these immigrants, as our country is based on the

I’ll just assume you live in one of the countries that we are protecting. Dont worry, we wont let your ineptitude ruin it for the rest of your country. :)

I know the history of Japan. I know we (United States) essentially wrote their constitution, I am willing to bet I know the history of that entire time period much better then you do. Doesn’t change the fact that they are dependent on us for defense. As is most of Eastern Europe, and the other countries I mentioned.

Uh huh.. Put the tin foil hat back in the cabinet, Halleys comet isnt due for another 50 years or so.

Assuming you are Canadian, you of course wouldn’t understand the concept of paying for your own defense. :)

Thats not very well known, and probably should be advertised a bit more.. good to know. Still see an issue though, whats the replacement for the F-15 class fighter? Dual Engine, high speed, long range fighter cover. F-22a is obvious, but with only 200 of them, I cant see how that replaces the F-15.

Couldn’t find LRIP 9 pricing, but LRIP 8 pricing for the A model was $93 Million w/o a Engine. So call it 105M per jet.

Question I always have is, what do we do when the F-15’s are no longer serviceable. I dont quite see the F-35 as a replacement for it, and the F-22 run was way to short.

Bare Minimum would have been doing nothing in those situations, as none of them directly threatened our national security. I look back on Jimmy Carter, you think he would have done half the stuff that Obama has done? By my count, Obama has bombed at least 7 countries (Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Somalia, Libya, Afghanistan,

I cant help but come back to this. The insanity of what you are saying just bothers me. Why do you think he wouldn’t fight back? What has he done that shows he is weak when it comes to military action? Forget about even being provoked, like attacking a ship, hes shown he is not unwilling to use Military force.

Which is why I happily (most days) pay my taxes. :)

Couldnt have said it better. I’m not a huge fan of the President, but I don’t believe for a second that he wouldn’t unleash a big ol’ can of whoop-ass on the Iranians if they attacked a USN ship.

Thanks.. I knew the fleet was in Bahrain, just didnt understand why there was not more ships on station. Would have assumed to escort the amount of ships traversing the straits you would need more ships.
