Adjusted for inflation to today’s dollars The Graduate has a domestic gross of $857 million and is among the 25 highest-grossing films in North American history. The clear and observable fact is that that simply doesn’t - and couldn’t - happen in today’s market.

Black Panther was not a global phenomenon but a purely American one. It made average MCU phase 3 dollars as it was an average MCU movie. It’s probably the most overrated movie ever and everyone understands why. The movie in itself is a very regular MCU outing. It’s for other reasons it has some importance in the USA.

I do feel bad for women who develop early and suddenly get all this unwanted attention, just for having large breasts. I knew a girl like that growing up; hit high school and suddenly she’s getting noticed by everyone: the boys, the girls, even the teachers. Throughout high school she was both loved and hated, popular

My opinion - Boseman was good. But that first Black Panther movie was... not as great as many people want to claim.

*prepares for an intensely derogatory onslaught due to a difference of opinion*

So it doubles down on the Team Panther ,girl power and 1990 special effects ?

Joe instead imagines a future where you can interrupt a 3D, artificially intelligent version of Tom Cruise mid-scene and ask him how he performed his stunts, all from the comfort of your own home. (No, seriously.) “Whether we like it or not, the advent of AI, the advent of three-dimensional projectors that don’t

well between cherry and the gray man...godspeed, you two. you’ll be able to coast on your clout for a while but yeesh.

Everyone thinks its called Way of the Water because of oceans and stuff, but it’s really going to be a lecture on the social paradigms of needing to pee during long movies. My personal Way of the Water involves going during dialogue scenes... and I also don’t wash my hands afterwards.

Oh c’mon. It’s great you like her stuff, but she was never “experimental.”

I ran it on PC and while I had a few bugs nothing was game breaking. Everytime I saw something, it was non-intrusive enough for me to go ‘well this’ll get patched’. Only exception was I think a mission critical tank was stuck inside a building at the end so I couldn’t blow it up but I just restarted the mission and it

Agreed. I came in with very low expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised. I think that some of the negatitive reviews stem from the fact that the movie is very successful in cultivating a sense of unease and discomfort both on-screen and for the audience.

My viewing experience was augmented by the fact that theater

Pugh is almost certainly a draw by now, as well.

The slideshow machine broke.

Yes, spot on. It’s the same reason Cara Delevingne can’t seem to act despite the industry insisting she is actually very good at it. (Nothing to do with her family ties and upbringing, no siree)

Ah yes, Insider Out 2, the movie about the thoughts in Riley’s head as she takes on Big Tobacco and CBS Corporate.

Downey is a well-known dick. He was being a dick.

Nah, that’s not my read on that sentence. I mean, if you just look at the phrasing it’s pretty clear that’s not what he’s saying:

That would’ve been a good sting, but I don’t think that’s what he was actually saying at all.

It’s not symbolic in the way you’re thinking. The way laws are made in this country, they require royal assent. Sure, no GG is going to refuse to give it
