Too bad that game is terrible after about 1/3 of the way through, it's just a total slog. Having to wait a month for a moon event is ridiculous.

You are incorrect. This is a franchise. 2-3 cartoons, 15 video games, 150 (or so) comics, a novel. This franchise needs new exciting adventures.

You'll have to explain why it makes no sense, cos i'm thinking three paranormal scientists that invent a bunch of gear and bring in a fourth person is a rather gender neutral premise.
The trade also says the script would be "written from scratch," which means the lady Ghostbusters would probably not just be genderbent versions of the old ghostbusting team.
