to be fair, and this is a very tangential thread to hold on to: Palpatine was always preparing or afraid of something in the unexplored regions of The Galaxy. This was part of the reason for the Death Star, Thrawn alludes to it, some of the books reference that there’s something in the unexplored regions that’s of

on the one hand, I’m sad. On the other hand, anything that will avoid a repeat of the clusterfuck that was FFXV’s release I’m totally down with.

I feel like that would just be retreading the reveal at the end of “The Answer” in a very unsatisfying way

I’d just like to remind everyone that in one scene of the original Avatar, a man, a normal earth man with normal earth legs, kicks open a bulkhead door in a ship.

I may have been high when I watched this, but it was both the best moment in moviemaking history, completely unbelievable, and absolutely hilarious.

It’s impressive to me the amount of people who are shitting on a version of a game they haven’t played are likely the same people who have been asking Square for a remake in the same place. This isn’t a remaster, it’s a remake. You like 7? Good, it’s ported on all platforms and you can play it whenever you want.

Winston originally had a much larger role when it was meant to be Murphy.

It’s a planet mined for Kyber used as a weapon. I’m willing to buy that logic a little bit.

I believe Rey’s fighting style in TFA clearly indicates she was planned to be a palpatine from the beginning.

Some poor bastard who decided to Holdo himself into it apparently.

Those were new First Order TIEs. The one that Ben took was an old Imperial TIE from the wreck of the Death Star, which are known not to have hyperdrives. Unless there was a FO Star Destroyer somewhere he could go up to and just take one.

I agree that logic is a thing you can’t usually apply to Star Wars but there is a giant plot hole in Ben getting to Exxogol without a hyperdrive. TIE’s don’t have those.

It’s impressive that people are not blaming JJ for just throwing everything at the wall and hoping something sticks, and instead blame it on one of the two interesting SW films we’ve gotten in recent years.

Did Merry’s character get a name? I find it baffling they cast him in a role that would’ve been better fit by Rose who was literally there already.

I really hated the Palpatine “twist” because it comes literally from nowhere. It’s just as bad as her being Obi Wan’s granddaughter.

People have been asking about live action SW tv for years. We finally get it and then some people bitch about it not being structured like a movie. Letting things breathe is fine.

in-universe, and in a real military, you don’t tell the unreasonable prick who just got demoted for not following orders your plan. You trust your military will follow along with the plans you make as the higher-up. Regardless of wether you feel like Holdo is charismatic enough or not it’s a moot point since she’s an A

Wrong, Poe was demoted for not following Leia’s orders and not returning when he should’ve. It’s literally in the opening sequence of the movie.

It has nothing to do with sex and everything to do with Poe trying to be a hotshot hero and thinking he knows better.

Because she was being held at gunpoint by a rash individual who was demoted for acting rash and not thinking things through while doing something rash and not thinking it through. It’s easy for us to stand with Poe because he’s the hero, we’re supposed to cheer for him, but in-universe he’s being irrational, a dick,
