I grew up in Oklahoma about the time they actually did away with the annual inspection. Could be an interesting case study if a huge boom of death traps are now on the roads, which I doubt are any more than normal.

That’s some Final Destination type stuff right there.

I don’t know how I feel about this shift_ in marketing either. For a car built for the human race, dogs really do love their trucks and enjoy the ride.

For once, I’m proud to own an Infiniti on this site.

“Sounded like garbage” is completely subjective, my main point was that it was immediately recognizable. I think they sound awesome, but I’ve also heard “rock tumbler” and “bees in a coffee can” references. I guess people are used to quiet and muffled exhaust, so any change from the norm is critiqued.

I for one love that the G35 (and it’s platform siblings Z/FX) actually had a unique engine note compared to everything else on the market. Far too many exhausts are simply there to make the car as quiet as possible with zero regard to sound. Sure, the end result is that you either love or hate the actual sound, but at

There’s actually a dealership not too far from here that has something similar. They have a Cafe inside, and people would randomly come in for lunch. Outside they have a jogging/walking track and a decent play area for little kids. It was actually the nicest dealership and best car buying experience I’ve ever had.

How well do they stand up to an 11 year old? My daughter tends to destroy these things.

I wonder how hard it will be to swap that rear bumper onto the US version. Why does it stick out so far?

This has broader ramifications, think of how many of us mod our daily drivers with “race-only” parts. Not many of us have a dedicated autocross vehicle. Or simply want a little more performance from our street car. The parts involved are mostly the same. Also, what does the EPA define as “emissions-related parts” that

After reading this I’m really surprised I was able to buy a 74 Vega as my first car, in 1998. Funny that I pretty much had the exact same experience (case of oil, randomly didn’t feel like starting).

My first car was a 74 Chevy Vega, that I found in a field for $450. As a 16 year old in 1998 with a fresh license, this was my ticket to freedom! In my mind it was a sweet looking coupe with a fastback design, and it had wheels, sorta, more on that in a minute. I installed a basic stereo to have some tunes and I was

Holy depreciation! The average asking price of a regular 2011/2012 Murano is a little over $20k (per a simple autotrader search). So it’s actually cheaper to get this monstrosity than to get a regular one now.

I thought your plates said “VALSCAR” or was that your old one? Or am I mixing you up with another gentleman in the DC area with an affinity for black 6MT sedans that gets his pictures taken by KAM?

I’ve had a 00 G20t 5MT and now have an 06 G35 6MT coupe, was so looking forward to this release as I have nearly 200k miles on the coupe now. Now I have to decide if I should get a used 11+ G37 or order up a 6MT Audi S5 like a friend of mine has. That S5 is really starting to call my name.

Euro ped safety standards has ruined modern car design for me. Or I’m getting old.

Nice choice! I heard there’s some kind of fuse you can remove to open up the exhaust actuators. Loud all the time!

Don’t tell me how to live my life!

My only guess is for the water cooled intercoolers. Otherwise it seems like overkill.
