I loved DQXI and beat Act 1 and 2 on PS4 but honestly I didn’t wade into the post-game much.

Part of it was knowing by then that the Switch version would be eventually coming but....
.... honestly part of it indeed has a lot to do with the music X_X

Having tried the demo on Switch featuring the orchestral track, it IS a

And technically while it’s more recent Dragon Quest XI S will technically just be the definitive edition of a 2017(for Japan) game that even adds in a 2D mode with more classic-styled DQ overworld for extra nostalgia feature and so on.

And it release just 7 days after Zelda. Which would seem bad for it until you

If it means anything, I’m seeing the Switch seem to fit primarily a lot of the folks with busier lifestyle either because of work commute or home life. Lots of people I see loving the Switch the most are often parents with children since even when they primarily play in docked mode the support for handheld play allows

Honestly I think part of this is not just the popularity of the Switch but the fact it’s form factor *really* does offer a lot of convenience that was lacking on other consoles.

Want to play on a TV but only have a 3DS? Sorry, no TV support for you to kick back into your sofa and relax after a hard day of work and

Honestly this.

Plus looking at what I’ve seen of the demo right now it even has a lot of quality of life stuff.

Even the fact party members actually follow you around in the game world now was played upon so that instead of bringing up the party chat menu to talk with your companions you can now just turn around and

Honestly it really does run well. I’ve seen much worst looking games( Bloodstained *coughs*) run much worst than this so even if it’s not as beautiful than PS4(admittedly I only played it in a regular PS4 and never got to try it on a Pro) it’s still pretty solid for a Switch game and the *performance*(that is,

Having played it on PS4 I’d normally concur but playing the Switch demo right now i’m amazed by how well it run while still looking pretty damn good.

Knowing about this deal is nice but honestly i’m surprised more noise isn’t being made right now about the fact Nintendo just released a free demo of the game with *10 hours* of story content whose progress can be carried into the full version.

Honestly I’m tempted by this game but the “Majora’s Mask time loop on steroids” has definitely kept me off of it a fair bit so far X_X

I like Majora’s MAsk but the three days kind of let you do a fair bit of things at the very least.

That definitely is the deal/appeal of it. Though NMS at least has a couple of other hooks to invest one that Minecraft might not(though Minecraft technically has some more freedoms in others, in loose fashion perhaps, especially engineering through redstone I guess?).

But this said.... if someone really, *really*

But was still shutdown for a pretty lenghty while and that meant some momentum had time to build up for the closest approximate(that also had the benefit of that “official” DC “seal of approval”)

Honestly I know it “takes control away from you” but I’m actually super glad for the inclusion of the Malroth in the game that lets *him* take the brunt of battle in many situations and gives you more freedom to either evade monsters, continue gathering in a punch or simply outmaneuver enemies by going to

I think the biggest issue I have with his reach is less the reach itself but rather how many elements of his toolkit can feel reminescent of Link’s own sword&shield moves whilst being nonetheless extremely different in a lot of moves.

So more than anything what I struggle most with him his my damn muscle memory that

Hero is seriously interesting. This said, claiming he’s fully RNG based is a bit misleading because I feel that though there’s a layer of randomness in him, it’s surprisingly *controlled* randomness.

“RNG” is also misleading because “random number generator” implies something akin to a dice roll and while this would

For the name thing, I think it’s sort of a translation issue. In Japan his title for his job/class has always been something like “Yusha”(apparently: “Brave” iirc) but in the west that character class was always translated to literally “hero”.

So the name is literally the job/class of each of the characters(ironically

Well at least now you get Akira Toriyama’s *other* creations that he’d been working on ever since 1986(it’s kind of funny how the art of Dragon Quest protagonists REALLY evolved in direct parralel to whatever the art was like for contemporary Dragon Ball story arcs of the time. Like Dragon Quest 1 and 2's Japanese

Possibly but even then the simple fact the menu appears feels like it runs the risks of telegraphing those particular moves. Especially with the list being randomized(I wonder if that was settled as compromise to the many spells features and/or the fact the spell list is often spread over multiple small pages in the

I *could* see monster hunter but that remains to be determined since that’s still a long shot.
I know they were a Mii Costume back on WiiU, are they still in Ultimate? I know we got Rathalos but for now that’s still mostly it, and I’m unsure how likely this is to happen with no new Monster Hunter games in sight for

Depends but honestly jRPGs *started* with Dragon Quest on the NES.
