It’s a real thing! Lots of SSRIs, antipsychotics, and some anti-nausea meds can cause it. I went to the ER thinking I was literally going crazy when it hit, luckily they looked at my meds and knew exactly what it was. 

When I tried Lexapro it gave me a terrifying side effect called akathisia. Took days to wear off. I would not wish that on...okay, I would wish it on Trump, let’s be honest.

Same when I worked at a grocery store and a Borders. The potential lawsuits from an injured employee, bystander, or shoplifter were not worth it to them. In the grocery store we were also supposed to comp the full cart of any customer who saw anything disturbing (like a fight) in the store.
