Oh God, the Ambien dreams. I don't take that shit anymore for a reason. I woke up one night, inconsolable because I thought the lamps in our bedroom were fighting. I don't remember any of this, but apparently I was SO upset. "Why can't you just get along!!?" I screamed at the floor and desk lamps.

Oh man, I love reading awful stuff and mocking it as much as the next person, but this......I just couldn't. Couldn't bring myself to read any more after the first. It's like how I refuse to see Hostel - I just can't have that shit in my brain because it will haunt me while I sleep.

+1 for melatonin here. Plus a lack of melatonin apparently contributes to Alzheimer's, so hey, prophylactic.

Melatonin made my boobs grow. My cups already runneth over, so to speak, so no more melatonin for me.

Melatonin does help me sleep, but it also gives me dreams that are vivid to the point of weirdness. They seem SO REAL in a way that normal dreams don't. I'd wake up exhausted in a whole different way.

Melatonin's non-prescription, so it doesn't even show up in this study. Same with wine, Advil PM and Benadryl. Sooooo those are my four go-tos. Not all at once, though.
