Your analogy is dumb. My grocery store in town carries things that the Walmart 10 miles down the interstate doesn’t and vice versa.

Frankly, this is the real world. This happens with basically any kind of sales market. My regular grocery store doesn’t sell my favorite ice cream, I have to get it at Walmart. I hate Walmart, but I want to support the company who makes it because they aren’t exactly a big company, so I have to do that if I want to

> That a good enough reason for ya?

You’re not. If you want to play a PS4 exclusive, you need a PS4. If you want to play a Switch exclusive, you need a Switch. If you want to eat a BK burger, you have to go to a BK, you can’t eat it on a McDonald’s.

I should be free to choose where I want to buy something same way your free to choose where you shop for groceries it’s a grossly simple concept.

Guns are never leaving American hands, because there are individual Americans that do not trust their government or their peers.
Because all those pea shooters they have at home are going to protect them from the military if it ever knocks on their door.

So how do you explain Hitler and Nazis then?  He didn’t inspire them to commit those acts of barbarism?  Millions of times over...it was all just ‘their’ individual fault?

Games aren’t books or movies, Heather. By design, they’re not going to be playable by everybody. That’s too bad, but that’s the nature of the medium.

I actually really enjoyed it when it released, even though I get I’m in the minority. First game I ever got all 1000 achievement points on. Last game where the Desmond stuff mattered and I really was into that story line, ha again most likely the minority.

Great post, though I disagree a bit about there being no sense in arguing with a zealot. There’s truth to that in a private debate between two people, but on the internet there’s almost always other people watching. I never go into a debate thinking I’m going to change the other person’s mind. My goal is to put a

The moment anything they like is questioned in any regard, whether it be lack of LGBT+ characters or non-White Guy leads, it’s the same as a personal insult to them

A couple of things to consider (this ended up being a longer post than I thought it would; I know, a long-winded Arnheim post—shocking):

1.) Most people don’t understand that argument—at least in the academic sense—is an intellectual exercise as often as it’s intended to actually shift a person’s perspective on a given

This entire article could be applied to those of any minority group. People are still incredibly angry at Doctor Who having a female lead for crying out loud.

Gita, thank you. I can’t say I always see eye to eye with staff writers, but I can wholeheartedly say that Kotaku is a better place for having you here and that your efforts make a difference, each and every day. Your perspectives matter and it makes all of us a little smarter, more empathetic, and wiser each read. Tha

I think that’s my main issue with the game.  Like, yeah it looks real good.  But it very much looks like a “hey ya still like SpiderMan 2? Here’s a better version of that.”  Something that Spidey games have been chasing after for over 10 years.

What I want to know is, how is this game all that different from the older Spider-Man games like Spider-Man 2 or Ultimate Spider-Man? Obviously it’s got current-gen power for a larger, more detailed, prettier world, but what’s different in the bones of the game? People have been hyping this game like it’s something

So one should only have sex for procreation? Did the 60s and 70s just pass you right by? (and for the record, I was born in 1962)

Esports is in a terrible position because of how other “Sports” teams are franchises with millions (if not billions) of dollars in merch and ticket sales. Greedy fucking investors are just trying to get into the “Sports” scene and cash in on it’s popularity. Drama like this brings notoriety for better or worse.
