It’s a good thing Trump went after those NFL players for kneeling, otherwise stories about vets being unable to afford emergency medical transportation might make it look like republicans really didn’t care all that much about the troops.

I would unconditionally support any team who changed their mascot to Hans Moleman getting hit in the groin.
In addition to the links from other commenters in this thread, there’s also the constant attempts at dehumanization that the trans community faces. Everything from bathroom bans to our president’s plan to redefine the word “gender” in order to remove trans people from consideration under civil rights law.
I love pushed ads delivered to me by algorithm that provide the opposite of synergy. Perhaps my favorite came from the Root, which had a screaming headline that said something like “When Will Trump Just Come Out and Say the N-Word?” Above it was a very tasteful banner ad for the Downton Abbey exhibition with Lady Mary…
There aren’t words for how quaint the Nancy Reagan astrology scandal seems now.
Colin Kaepernick is not on an NFL roster.
I DON’T CARE IT’S SCARY!!!!!
“She was hiding under the covers, having bolted all the doors and windows. Her small appartment was empty.
this year’s stories weren’t very good. The ghost stories were especially weak.
“...the whole purpose of art, I would argue, is to bring us together.”
Yeah that one was confusing and seemed more like a mournful loss of life than anything creepy. The random italicized sentences at the conclusion of the paragraphs also threw me out of my immersion in the story.
Glad I’m not the only one who thought so. The overuse of italics really took me out of the narrative flow.
There are kids who have their whole lives archived on the Internet for viewing pleasure, clicks, and money. The good, bad, and ugly. As a minor, the have no digital rights at all. That bothers me.
Honestly, I thought that one was the least scary - it was so caught up in flowery language that it obscured anything scary in the story.
I’m just glad that I grew up when video recording was relatively rare and photos were pretty much for family and select friends only.
Meh. Only one to even get under my skin was the face at the window. Everything else was pretty blah. They all pale in comparison to prior entries.
They confirmed to me on a facebook post a few years back that they do not sell the Original in the US anymore. I’m not sure how it’s on this list.
Yes. I was listening to a podcast. It is infuriating. I have my headphones plugged in and resting on my desk and I can hear this faint noise and it’s the damn ads. Why is life so hard?
Yay! I made the cut. I just told a live version of this story last night and had several people tell me they had similar experiences after messing with Ouija boards or seances. So my advice to all of you who are creeped out is to NOT DO THAT THING.
As far as I’m concerned (despite being a deep dish-lover), the only proper opinion is that all styles of pizza are good (square/tavern, deep dish, NY-style, Detroit-style, etc.). I really don’t get the strong opinions about different types, since they’re all made with the same amazing basic ingredients.
