He is indeed. He even shows up in one of the promos for the series.

Zoe Lister-Jones will always be OK with me thanks to her portrayal as Kim, Jon's long-suffering girlfriend on "Delocated."

Great article (as always) from Sean. Reminds a little of this old Outlaw Vern article, "Righteous Fury: In Praise of Peaceful Notions in Violent Movies," which is another rumination on enjoying cinematic violence.

Jeffrey Boam is an unsung hero.

Book of the year right there.

The final joke in "The Lost Boys" is one of the best final lines in any movie.

Please tell me he got an interview with the shirtless saxophone player.

It's pretty cool. I'm pretty sure Leland and Sarah were not initially in the second season finale script. Heidi as well.

A small note: while that is indeed Phoebe Augustine as the second woman in the vessel, she is actually credited as playing "American Girl." Whether this is supposed to be Ronette Pulaski or another character entirely is up to you.

Gordon Cole's solemn, "The Congressman's Dilemma" after studying the absurd evidence in the FBI office is one of the funniest line readings so far.

Agreed. It's the one time in the show's history that Cole has ever been more than a (delightful) one-note character. I'm very excited to see what else they do with him.

The rumor goes that Watts has a very significant part. We'll see if that turns out to be the case. Here's hoping.

This explains so much about Nadine.

The credits list him as Jean-Michel Renault.

"I suspect that even how the actors move is important."

I know at least one more Mulholland Dr actor is coming up.

In the excellent book "Lynch on Lynch," Lynch mentions that "Wild at Heart" was a reaction to the times, which he felt had gotten progressively uglier and uglier. He wanted to tell a love story set among the darkness of the late 80s.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure in that Jason Zinoman "Shock Value" book, he interviews William Friedkin and Friedkin mentions that he believes the Nazis were possessed by demons. Not like figuratively, like literally possessed by demons.

There's a very short scene in The Missing Pieces of the Log Lady overhearing Laura's murder and it's absolutely heartbreaking to watch. I can see why they cut as it distracts from the action but it's a great payoff to Laura's earlier encounter with the Log Lady.

One man's corn is another man's charm.
