I really didn’t do a great job of explaining in my original post but the main argument of that article was using “just” is a way to soften language (which yes is helpful sometimes) and is often used by women because we are trained by society to not cause waves or be seen…

The only one I wholeheartedly agree with is “Just”. I read an article about how using “just” is our way of justifying that we are trying to do our jobs which is not necessary. I can say “checking in on this thing” without the “just” and it is perfectly fine.

Yea I wouldn’t say he “roasted everyone in power to hell” but that is also not Trevor Noah’s style. His jokes about others tend to be pretty tame.

If you have a source that states definitively he has the legal authority that would withstand challenges that would face on of the most conservative courts we have had in decades then I would love to see it

I will say as a salaried employee even if I am drowning in work if there is free pizza I can take 10 minutes to grab a slice, say hi to my coworkers and thank the people who organized it. I gotta eat too.
