Yup:

I agree with you. Nothing in this article advocated for that. It’s just “Biden is disappointing to young people because he didn’t deliver on his promises”.

That’s fair. I personally get tired of what feels like “magical thinking” to me. He is president and we want more so he should find a way to do it. Trump didn’t have congress blocking him at every turn. Roosevelt was governing an entirely different country in a less polarized environment.

Fair point.

Is it possible his approval rating is tanking because people don’t understand how our government works so they buy into promises a Presidential candidate makes but actually has no power to deliver on because the role of the president is to appoint a cabinet and sign laws passed by congress?

It would not surprise me if in a few seasons we see Drag Kings on Drag Race, unfortunately Drag Kings need to become more marketable. Ru is business savvy and will follow the $$$.

I am a couch potato but lately I have been putting on an episode of something like Brooklyn 99 which runs for just under 30 mins and stretching right in the middle of my living room while its on.

Just want to be clear Jet Blue was offering 10K worth of FLIGHT CREDITS. That is not the same as 10K cash.

The President can only implement laws written by Congress. He has ZERO control over shitty state laws.

The Depp reveal after having Colin Farrell creep the hell out of me for what felt like predatory grooming was SO disappointing and made ZERO sense.

No to all of it except Harry, Paris, Rico and Orville

It’s always seemed weird to me that the legislature or a governor could propose their own maps. I realize there is no way to make it 100% neutral but there has to be at least a MORE neutral way than partisan folks who have agendas draw the map

Awww yay I love Maryah Greene! She get’s featured in the wake up on Headspace quite a bit and has definitely inspired me to get into plants

Before you come into these comments (looking at you grays) and start asking “well why was he running?” or any variation of why Patrick Lyoya is guilty, I will take this time to remind you that:

That is true but that range is generally geared towards teenagers, so that an 18 year old can’t be charged with a crime for hooking up with a 16 year old.

Yea the whole magical once the clock strikes 12 on your 18th birthday you are somehow an adult and capable of making these choices and also its ok legal for people over 18 to have sex with you has always been super weird to me.

We are actually having a pretty civil dialogue and their point is a good one.

I mean yes BB did make the choice, but she capitalized off the creepy obsession with it “legally being ok” to sexualize young women. And honestly good for her, but it’s still creepy AF

If this were a think piece on young women as sex symbols then I would agree with you, but this is clearly just a “celebrity did a thing” report which is part of the Jez wheel house.

The point is some young women, Millie Bobby Brown in this case, are uncomfortable being treated as sex symbols and find it creepy that not only do people literally count down the days that they can openly objectify her but we as a society actively encourage it.
