A random few, in an utterly sexist crew. Yes, the argument is that the barrier is that society, and especially motorsports, is utterly sexist. It's like being antisemitic but saying "I have a Jew friend".

The fact that so few women make it to top-level racing only highlights how biased the whole sport is. Look at any race, women seem to be just part of the prize for men to take, in a symbolic and in a most literal way. How can it be possible for women to succeed in such an environment?

Matt, I haven't read all the comments (which I do as a matter of principle before commenting on any post, on any blog), so please excuse me if I'm repeating something that someone else did say before me. I'm equally upset with the utter sexism in motorsport (and in life), as I'm happy to see the reaction of a Jalopnik
