Is it John McCain?

The Red Riding trilogy was quite good. I agree that in terms of atmosphere, it matches with True Detective pretty well.

Fine. You don't understand. Whatever. Can we please end this?

You repeatedly made the claims about what I've written that simply aren't true. You've claimed that I somehow suggested that by simply not divulging that he was War that meant Noble's character couldn't be War. I never wrote anything like that. You've claimed that I've contended Noble's hint that he is Jeremy

Just stop, sdrox14. You wrote "If Noble hinted that he was Jeremy that doesn't change that he knew about Jeremy being WAR at all." I never wrote that Noble hinting that he was Jeremy changes anything about Jeremy being War. I'm sorry. If you can't see the distinction between what I wrote and what you claimed I

It's a great movie.

Yep.

Of course Noble hinting that he might be Jeremy doesn't mean that Jeremy can't also be War. But of course I never wrote anything like that. I never wrote that Noble's hint that he might be Jeremy somehow means he couldn't also be War. I said that in the same interview in which he hinted that he might be Jeremy he

Again. NOT WHAT I'M SAYING. The point isn't that he DIDN'T divulge it. I do agree that you can't necessarily trust what showrunners and writers and actors say.

Not what I'm saying. He hinted he might be Jeremy, but it was the type of hint that you wouldn't necessarily pick up on until the reveal. Other things he said cut against the notion that he'd be War. That is different from not giving away the ending.

I had the same reaction as you to the Henry development. It was my least favorite aspect of season 1. I've given some thought to Henry's actions in preceding episodes, and several things don't add up for me. I'll be curious to go back and re-watch. I will say I came across an interview with Noble from November,

I just read an interview with Noble from around the time The Sin Eater aired. He kind of implies that he is Jeremy. I think everything else he says cuts against the idea that he's also War. For whatever that's worth.

Sorry for my tone. I took what you wrote about Henry's vision and "the day being here at last" as saying the dream told War that the day was here. If that wasn't your intent, then . . . well, I don't what to make of the claim. Again, sorry for being condescending. I just honestly don't get how anyone could claim

No way. C'mon. Abbie came to Parrish looking for help. Saving Ichabod is what earned their trust. There was absolutely no reason for the hand wringing, internal struggle, Parrish went through. And I'll watch the waking from the dream scene again, but I got nothing like what you claim from it. And I don't get at

I didn't see those comments from Noble. But I hope it isn't true. See response below.

Yeah. And I think that is the show it is destined to be. For better or worse.

I guess we see things differently. My reaction was that it forced and that it didn't fit.

If it was planned all along, it was shitty execution. All of Parrish's hand-wringing about doing the sin eater thing, getting involved with Abbie and Crane. Or as another commenter mentioned below, Parrish waking from his nightmare without anyone to put on a show for, and still acting surprised and disturbed about

Agree on Henry is Jeremy. I mean, it is already a stretch to ask us to buy into that development given the character's history. But at least make his actions consistent with the development in the episode in which you make the reveal. The whole thing rang hollow for me, and it distracted from an otherwise enjoyable

I couldn't disagree more. If they intended the Henry is War and War has been hanging around doing nothing for 10 years and he's Ichabod's son twist from the beginning, I'll eat my hat.
