I think the validation is part of the reason there is no romantic chemistry. Leonard is in it to have a hot girlfriend. Penny is in it to prove she isn't a bimbo. There isn't anything romantic about that. Otherwise, there is no visible romantic connection. For what it is worth, I think challenging each other is

Return to China Beach: The Series.

If it had only been called The Asses it might have seen its way to the end. And if it had been on CBS. Maybe after Two Broke Girls.

I was actually watching The Assets. It wasn't great. But it was kind of interesting. I don't really get the idea of pulling a mini-series after two episodes. That seems kind of ridiculous.

Skin suit! That was a fashion trend in the 70s. Right?

Here you go: Don Draper. Oblivion. That about covers it.

No word yet on whether Talking Bad has been renewed?

We've been involved in the so-called War on Terror for over a decade. It is militarily driven. We have troops in Afghanistan fighting the Taliban and al qaeda. We engage in military missions in countries on multiple continents. We regularly bomb Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Yemen. And have engaged in bombing other

I hate Piz. And because of your comments, I want to beat you like Logan beat Piz.

I remember being part of the fan campaign that saved Firefly years ago. Oh, wait . . . nevermind. Well, I signed a petition to save Undeclared No, no, that doesn't work. Uh. Oh. I know. I wrote letters about Wonderfalls, and that got a fourth episode.

Yeah. But it's still Piz. And I can't watch a show with Piz as a regular.

No. It isn't wrong. I'm with you in wanting more from shows than just by-the-numbers sitcomming.

Yeah. But it isn't exactly a secret that those quirks are completely tied to the character's nerd status.

If that's how it goes, I just hope the make Leonard and Penny a convincing couple. Because that hasn't happened yet.

Nearly everyone is aware of the Riddler, though, through TV and movies. Especially now, in the wake of Heath Ledger. I think it was just a misstep with the script.

I took it as Bernadette supposedly not getting the reference.

Yeah. I think that was a case of just not wanting to give up on a joke, even though it would have been better to do so. My guess is they wanted to use a more obscure Batman reference, which might have made sense for Bernadette to not know, but decided they had to use something everyone in the audience would get.

I don't know. My principal complaint is about how (poorly) the show has evolved. So I don't know where that leaves me in your scheme. I watched a couple of early episodes on TBS recently, and I will say I enjoyed them much more than most episodes from the past few seasons. At the same time, I agree I don't want a

I don't agree with the idea of Sheldon and Penny. I just don't see it as viable. But I see zero romantic chemistry between Leonard and Penny.
