Illegal guns and criminal activity are still a problem, but the solution to that isn’t “more guns". Private gun ownership only creates more death.
Sure, there would be illegal guns but that is another problem within itself. I’d rather have some people with illegal guns than everyone with a fucking gun. The illegal gun problem would be solved with lowering criminality with a more human state.
Ah yes, I agree 100%, disarming the police would be the last and final step, but in order for that to happen you need to create a state similar to the Scandinavian welfare state, because the only solution to criminality is equality.
To be quite honest with you, I don’t even think every policeman should be allowed to carry a gun. Other countries have realized the dangers of allowing people to have their own little monopoly of force and violence.
