There is a ton of music. What it doesn’t do is blare it in your face constantly. Skyrim’s music got shut off permanently after a few hours because of that.

Getting attached to weapons is part of the fun. The times I found myself using shit swords because all of my good ones broke, it just wasn’t a fun experience. You end up hoarding even more, because you have no idea when you will get a decent quality weapon again. (Especially the + weapons).
