Ancient Greek nerd here. It’s thanatos that’s death, and there’s a really creepy website out there by that very name that has compiled victorian death photos, which, being the macabre person that I am, have perused every now and then.
The correct version, even though it probably doesn’t exist in the ancient world, would be: “mea mors tua vita est.” What a dumbass and a dickhead. I don’t understand why conservatives have to appropriate Roman stuff all the time. If they have to, at least get it right, for god’s sake.
