Ancient Greek nerd here. It’s thanatos that’s death, and there’s a really creepy website out there by that very name that has compiled victorian death photos, which, being the macabre person that I am, have perused every now and then.

The correct version, even though it probably doesn’t exist in the ancient world, would be: “mea mors tua vita est.” What a dumbass and a dickhead. I don’t understand why conservatives have to appropriate Roman stuff all the time. If they have to, at least get it right, for god’s sake.

Oh my goodness. That’s totally grammatically incorrect. I’m a Latin nerd, and I hate with my whole being bad Latin tattoos, ESPECIALLY grammatically incorrect bad Latin tattoos. Ugh.
