So much ow. I feel you on the hammer blows. I also once had to get the gum tissue flayed back from my wisdom tooth scar and have the bone scar rasped down. Novocaine covered it from a pain angle, but that was just ACHY for days. (Dental work is still, in so many ways, medieval.)

I live in Minnesota after growing up in the DC area, and once a year, I get them shipped here.  I feel you.

My absolute go-to was two chicken soft-tacos “fresco style” at Taco Bell, but with their recent menu changes, that won’t be a thing anymore. I’m bummed - even my dietitian was like, “Yeah, a bit of a sodium hit, but other than that, it’s a pretty solid lunch.”

One of my front teeth was broken in half just below the nerve line when I was 10. I will spare you the details, but it’s led to a lot of dental work over the years, and when sometimes the bonding/veneer/crown were being repaired or replaced, and I was left with a stump of tooth in the front of my mouth.

I am well out of the orbit of the Jonas brothers - even my nieces and nephews were the wrong age for them when they were on the Disney Channel. But, they’ve been so pervasive on social media since their reunion as a band, so it’s been hard to avoid them in the past few years.

I saw the ad for that was like, “Nope.  Way too creepy.”  Clearly the SNL writers felt the same way.

The books are YA, but even if you’re not normally into that, it’s fine.  The protagonists happen to be late teenagers, but sometimes, you kinda forget that.

I was a little worried about the Six of Crows side - Nina’s timeline in those books place them firmly after the original trilogy - but if they’re just doing Ketterdam during the timeline of the original trilogy?  NO problems with that.

No, that’s essentially it. Lobsters don’t have vocal chords so screaming isn’t possible.

It is the humane thing to do, though, to kill them first.  A lot of countries have banned the boiling of live lobsters.

My family has done surf & turf with some old family friends on NYE for decades now - the husband is from New England, so he has no qualms about murdering his shellfish.

The alternative is buying lobster tails. Not as fancy as the full lobster thing, but you avoid having to murder your shellfish and you get the best part of the lobster meat with less bother about cracking open a lobster at your small dinner table.
