This one was my favorite. Doesn’t matter how often I ask to resurrect it, it’s not coming back. *sob*

I made my own smoothie base recipe, and instead of ice, I freeze my greek yogurt.  Works a lot better.

I think you need to try Cream of Peanut Soup.

This is one is pretty easy to make. You could always just skip the glaze (though I wouldn’t ;) ) and dust it with confectioner’s sugar. Bees are clearly optional, I use these sprinkles from Williams Sonoma instead. It’s a really lovely cake.

My husband and I were discussing the spray cheese I had in my recent grocery pick-up - pure nostalgia comfort food for me right now. He doesn’t get it, as he’s never liked spray cheese.

Spray cheese. Pure summer vacation/road trip food - my Mom would have tubes of Ritz or Town House crackers and cans of spray cheese if we were hungry in the car, along with some grapes or apple slices.

Eh, it’s nice to know Gordon is as bored and punchy as the rest of us. I love the smile on the daughter’s face the whole time, like she KNOWS her Dad is gonna look utterly stupid.

My biggest beef with my husband food-wise is he was blowing through his snacks really quickly. And more importantly, he was blowing through his coffee beans, like either of us could just run up to the grocery store for more. I did just discover this week, though, that I can buy 5 lb bags from the brand itself (it’s a

The same day they announced potential shortages, I happened to place a huge order with my local butcher for a bunch of different meats and got some eggs while I was at it. I’m trying to support them as a small business, and by extension, the small farmers they source from who use sustainable practices. It’s ungodly

Not west of the cheese curtin either. They busted some people for selling Spotted Cow a few years ago.

That’s awesome!

Oh totally. But Ladies Who Lunch is a classic, and Getting Married Today is just a master class in breath control.

My family’s shop is sadly closed now, but yeah - the things you get to see behind the scenes are cool.

Company is a fun one - there are many excellent versions out there.  Gyspy and Follies would probably be a good place to go next.

The whole thing is worth a watch, whether you’re a theater nerd or a secret theater nerd who knows all the lyrics to Oklahoma but would never sing them in front of you, for your sake (hi!). To be perfectly honest, I’m not even all that familiar with Sondheim, though my favorite episode of Documentary Now is the one

Cooks Illustrated also recommends keeping them in an open-topped ZipLoc bag in your crisper drawer.  I’m doing that with one of those blue-apple ethylene gas absorbing thingies, and they’re keeping REALLY well.

I have multiple, permanent soft-tissue injuries in my shoulders, hips, knees, and one calf. Since my husband and I moved to a downtown neighborhood to a much smaller space, it seemed prudent to just hit up my local grocery store more often. It was a nice walk which was good for all my joints, I invested in a nice cart

I want to say “I’m not crying, you’re crying!”  But let’s face it: we’re all tearing up.

The first time I saw one of his straight cooking shows, I was like, “Why would anyone actually want the other Gordon Ramsay?”  He’s an excellent cook, his teaching skills are great, and the food is always so lovely.

Crusty french bread or roll.
