Sounds reasonable.

I dislike Trump immensely. I’ve never liked him. I don’t like the way he acts, the way he thinks or doesn’t think, the way he conducts business, the way he treats people.

If those on the left believe Trump is “literally Hitler,” as so many are how saying, why on Earth would they trust his administration to limit the sale of currently available firearms?

Yes, unfortunately they are. I don’t think we’ll be hearing much from gun control advocates over the next four years.

Yes, and as a person of color, I’ve experienced racism before. I simply haven’t experienced all that much of it, and not enough to in any way derail my life in any substantial way.

I think that’s certainly part of it.

I have, and I’m not saying that racism doesn’t exist- obviously it does. But when the filmmaker states that he “experiences racism every day,” it confounds me just a bit.

1992 LA riots.

For example, Marines marching around Brooklyn barking at hipsters with chin curtain beards, “detain your immigrants. Detain your immigrants”

No, I can just remember Nixon’s impeachment. And I hike ten miles a day. You’re not old, and you’re not wrong.

Yeah, it turns out Hillary’s incrementalism wasn’t so bad after all, was it!

Couldn’t have said it better myself.

Many people who support racial justice may not agree with every part of the platform of Black Lives Matter or perhaps have a different solution to the issue of Standing Rock. This doesn’t mean that they aren’t standing up for all women, just that they’re doing it in a way they feel might be more productive.

How are access to healthcare, abortion, and rape not every bit as important to Black, Asian, and Latina women as they are to White women?

Yes, but as we all know, millions of Latinos are, in fact, white. 10-20% or more of Mexico is white, 97% of Argentina, a huge portion of Brazil, a huge number of Cubans, etc.

How do the issues of abortion, access to healthcare and education, and sexual assault not affect Black, Latina, and Asian women just as much as they affect white women?

You’re exactly correct, and you shouldn’t be a heretic. You have a right to your political opinions. Critical thinking on individual political issues should be applauded, not scorned.

Okay, but is it a woman’s march if it isn’t a global warming march as well? What about an animal rights march? What about a Latino farmworkers march? An access to healtchare for woman march? An incest survivors march? A clean water march?

Exactly right. And, many of the women there were likely first time marchers, and may never march again- but perhaps they do really cool things in their lives that contribute to society in a big, albeit un-showy way.

What’s with these purity tests that people on the left require of one another?
