Craigslist is an example of if its not broken, don’t fix it. Im sure the low-tech design of the site, in addition to being part of its image nowadays, also allows them to keep their overhead costs to a minimum, allowing it to function unchanged

Look, I know movie theater attendance hasn’t been quite the same since 2020... but they aren’t completely abandoned yet, so back off Spirit Halloween.
They don’t love me, they love my kids.
I hear you, and I freely acknowledge that I could be working harder, but on principle I fucking refuse to do all of the things you’re listing. If there was a legit, consumer-driven demand issue? Ok, yes. If an army of bot-fueled resellers is creating semi-false scarcity? Nope. Fuck all of that. I’ll just keep…
Here to say The Orville is fantastic.
Still better than the promotion schema in the JJA Treks where Kirk becomes captain of the Enterprise mostly just because that was his character’s job in the original show.
Yep lol. My feed is unrecognizable at this point, I see it going the way of Facebook for me (been off for about 2 years now).
Yeah maybe add or improve functionality, but leave me in my early 2000s internet, please? I’m bored of everything fitting in “material design” language and jumping from site to site only to see nearly identical bubbly lifeless UI.
I deleted Facebook 6 years ago as it got stale. I’ll do the same with Insta since they’re going to force the issue as I am sure other users will do. I have never and will not use tick toc. Silver lining, annoying us to death might help us all get off the toxic sauce of social media.
“The latter half of this statement is correct, as the platform provides for a carbon neutral, zero-emission form of high-altitude flight.” But is it not MASSIVELY wasteful in Helium which we are running out of easily usable supplies?
This was my take too — that he was just incredibly lonely and socially awkward. Not like we’d know anything about that in the wake of an isolating event...
Exactly. The criticism that he was playing that character “too weird and quirky” makes complete sense from that standpoint. I thought it was great and showed the utter futility of the “heroes/antiheroes situation at the end.
Exactly. He Who Remains was clearly supposed to be off his rocker. And I think Majors portrayal worked for that character.
He also wasn’t “Kang” in Loki, he was “He Who Remains”.
I think it’s hilarious to even consider anyone “investing” in this scheme, thus adding a third stupid and costly mistake to the pile.
OK now I don’t feel so bad about giving 1 bitcoin to buy a pizza back when it was worth about $10.
Dont think so, Water is going to be the end all be all in that city soon. What part of no water dont you get? Entire area and likely cities are going to become ghost towns. Its amazing people still dont get whats about to happen. Vegas will be a ghost town, Miami and part of NYC will be under water. Its already set in…
EXACTLY. If you choose to live in a desert, well you’re nuts, but more power to you. But you don’t have the right to try and recreate a tropical climate there on your property when there is a once in a millennia level drought occurring.
One is the loneliest number...
Fuck the Fox movies. Some of them were good in their time but Fox never had a clue what they were doing. I'm excited to see what competent people will do with the characters.
