I had completely forgotten about Stray Toasters until you mentioned it. I have that somewhere at home, too. I’ll have to dig it up. I probably haven’t read it since I first bought it.

This whole thread also reminded me that somewhere at home I have his Stray Toasters series. I need to dig it up and read it again. I probably haven’t read it since I got it.

I still have my original issues of Elektra: Assassin and The Shadow. I loved Sienkiewicz’s stuff. I even bought his Moby Dick graphic novel years later. :)

That Wilderness Years documentary sounds interesting. i’ll have to track it down. I’ve always meant to listen to the Gallifrey Big Finish productions. Those had Leela in addition to Romana II, didn’t they?

Cool. Thanks for the reply. The article made it sound like the Time Lords were some kind of governing body in charge of time and I didn’t think that was the case. Was it Underworld where the 4th Doctor basically said they tried getting involved, made a mess of it, and swore off interfering in other cultures?

I wasn’t sure where to add this comment, but even though Doctor Who first aired in ‘63 I don’t think the Time Lords themselves appeared until ‘69 in the War Games at the end of Troughton’s run. Is anyone here a classic Who expert? Were the Time Lords ever described as being “in charge” of time? I thought the Doctor

This whole discussion is too heavy for me. I’m going to pop on my VHS of Remo Williams: the Adventure Begins and chill.

Was that the episode where they were helping to relocate the Trump Toupee Museum?

I love the KRS1 in the Martian screen graphics. :)

I always loved Sienkiewicz’s stuff. I even bought the graphic novel version of Moby Dick he did. :)

Not even just while filming. Even years after. :)

After I replied I noticed a few other people referenced it as “red capes” farther down thread. You’re right, though. Red capes doesn’t make a whole lot more sense. Unless he refers to all super powered (or tech powered) vigilante heroes as “red capes” a la the “white hats”.

Seriously, at any point does this guy not come up as a self-important hipster with money? Every single goddamned line reminds me of a teenager trying to impress everyone with how smart he is, or make himself feel smart by being ‘subtle’.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen that trailer, but doesn’t he say “the red capes are coming”?

I think Bowfinger is such an underrated movie. I enjoyed the hell out of it. :)

I finally watched Attack the Block last night and realized the new Firestorm actor is actually a Brit. Another good accent. :)

Ha! That made me think of the ending from Escape from E2 when Barry had been trying to get out of the glass cage. Barry 2: “I know you have really been trying to phase out, but I believe in you so now I want you to REALLY try.” Barry 1: “What do you know? It worked. I guess I wasn’t REALLY really trying before.”

I agree. Unless they want to base ticket prices based on the movie length (i.e. a dollar for every 10 minutes, 80-minute movies are $8, 2-hour movies are $12) then pack as much quality story in as my ass can take.

Is the Compute Stick’s AC a hard wired cable and plug? Or is it a cable with a USB plug and a separate wall plug with a USB port? Meaning, if your TV has a USB port next to the HDMI port could you just carry the power cable and plug it into the TV’s USB port for power?
