It’s funny Douglas Adams is popping up in my feed. I have just been trying to install a virtual Windows 95 session on my computer so I can finally play Starship Titanic. I bought it 20 years ago and never actually got around to playing it. :)

Hmmmm. I’m intrigued. I really liked the 2010 series. I wonder if this version would have a quirky British Dirk transplanted to America or if it would just be an all American adaptation. I think I would be less excited about the latter.

It took me a couple loops before I saw the additional canes in Chewie’s bandolier. :)

I remember around 1983 or 1984 my family drove across America in our family camper and on the way we stopped in Las Vegas and parked in the RV lot behind Circus Circus. When my brother saw the floor that went on “forever” filled with arcade games we were gobsmacked.

And remember the arcade etiquette of lining up your quarter to play? How did that even work? How does one quarter look different from another? “Dude. That’s my quarter. It’s my turn.” :)

Back in 1980 I used to bike to Abby Road Arcade in Farmington Hills, MI, and both walls were lined with...pinball machines. And tucked away in the back were 4 or 5 video games. Like X vs O football with the trackball, Night Driver, and a couple others I can’t remember offhand. Pong was probably one of them. :D

I’m surprised you didn’t mention the recent book Armada which also borrowed heavily from, and referenced, Last Starfighter. I actually thought it as a pretty weak book, but I enjoyed reliving Last Starfighter through it. :)

I’ve been so underwhelmed by seasons 8 and 9 that I actually stopped watching. I didn’t make a conscious choice I stop, I just didn’t care enough to choose it over the various other shows I enjoy spending my limited time with. So I finally watched this episode just now. I can’t tell if I have just lowered my

Man, mail service is going to be a bitch when we colonize all these Kepler planets.

But the really important question is, will we get to see Killer Frost lick Caitlin’s neck? ;)

I really hope Scott Lang has been using his Thigh-Master, ‘cause that looks to be his only way to hold on when that arrow gets launched. :)

Is that a modern Windows sound effect at 3:45 that got caught during the conversion process? Or am I imagining it?

Now I want someone who is skilled at digital video to do a mash-up of that BB-8 GIF with the “obscene gesture” overlay from Guardians of the Galaxy. :)

I loved that scene with BB-8 in the movie, but watching that GIF now I get the impression he is flipping the bird. :)

Oh my god, that is such an awesome GIF. I love that episode. Thank you!

Yup, I had to go on Twitter to complain how much I hated JW. Can’t do it when you’re in the cinema!

I was going to bring up Remote Control, Liquid Television, Aeon Flux, and The Maxx. :)

“Peter Capaldi hints that he’s nearer the end of his time on the show than the beginning.”

I just re-watched my DVD of Return of the Jedi and it still boggles my mind that with all the tweaking Lucas did with the Special Editions of the original trilogy, he made no effort to fix the horrible effect of pulling C3PO and R2D2 out of the sand.
