I was wondering if that was supposed to be Coruscant. It certainly looked like it, but I didn’t see anything unique like the Jedi tower to really confirm it.

That’s the cover of the version of the book that I have. :)

Now playing

Maybe I’m just an old man yelling at a cloud but I do find it a little annoying when people use a colloquial shortening of the word legitimate as a substitute for the word legitimately.

What I thought was weird was, why did they need a portal at all? Why not just rig the one bomb to the drone and fly it way up high into the sky and use the magic magnet to suck the other bombs up into the sky where they could detonate harmlessly. It’s not like they were nukes or anything.

Yeah, I thought they were basically setting up that the old show was on another parallel Earth. They have at least 3 actors playing basically the same character (Tina McGee, The Trickster, and Mayor/Officer Tony Bellows) on the new show and JWS playing Barry’s Dad who could be easily explained as being The Flash in

Or did the very avoidable friendly-fire on Wells serve some purpose I’ve missed?

Wasn’t the long running series of Sprint Guy commercials sorta modeled on Fox Mulder, too? Wasn’t he “investigating” the “mysterious” things that happened when people made calls on networks with too much static?

I think the best shows find the sweet spot balance between monster of the week and pure serialization. I didn’t like when Angel went pretty much the full serialization route in seasons 3 and 4.

Hopefully, on his/her last day someone will give him/her a framed copy of the Oatmeal print as a gift.

Ha! I didn’t see this thread. I just made the same joke about the non-Ripley female dialog in Alien. Or worse, Alien 3. :)

My favorite band. Beavis and the Buttheads.

The non-Ripley female dialog supercut of Alien is even worse. And don’t even get me started on the non-Ripley female dialog supercut of Alien 3. :)

Man. This episode really makes me want to try spending the next few weeks getting caught up on Arrow. I haven’t watched it since Season 1 and I have no idea what is happening with Team Arrow. :)

I assume he won’t be texting much?

I was wondering how far I would have to scroll down before seeing a PIB joke. I’m surprised there weren’t more of them.

I’m guessing that between the events of Ultron, and the Inhumans problem on SHIELD the government is going to be going heavily into the pro-regulation camp.

William Hurt is one of the primary antagonists from The Incredible Hulk (when Edward Norton was the MCU Hulk). He was very big on controlling Hulk and other super-powered individuals.

Who the heck are Black Panther and Falcon? I have no idea.

Then again, I had a major crush on Nyssa growing up so I’m a bit biased when it comes to this.

As horrible as these last few seasons of Doctor Who have been I have to give Moffatt credit for a mostly solid 50th anniversary special. I would have preferred Eccleston or McGann but I’ve always loved John Hurt since the first Alien movie and I enjoyed the hell out of The Day of the Doctor. I saw it on BBC America
